Aftermarket CAT - which do you recommend?

The part you are talking about is probably more than you need. If you just need the cat, and not the O2 sensor mounts, Amazon has a universal fit Magnaflow for $100...double check, but I think this one will fit. It cam just be welded in place along the exhaust.

That might not be the correct one. According to the Magnaflow website, it would be either the 99006HM, or the 51006.

Also, both of those say that they qualify for 15% off in the cart.

Can anyone confirm that the stock exhaust piping is 2.25'' ID for the 3.4L?

Good catch. I was on my phone last night when I wrote that, so I couldn't tell for sure if that was the correct one.

Just do this, and don't worry about the cat at all.

My CAT is a 49 state version. Also, we do not have smog testing/inspection as a requirement in Alabama. I am sure your rear 02 simulator works great but I am reluctant to try it.
