Aftermarket cooling options (engine & tranny)

Hey guys,

looking to add some extra cooling to my ride. she's gotten a little warm the past 2 times in the woods with a lot of 4-low and minimal airflow. part of it is my dirty radiator i'm sure, but regardless i'd like to add some extra cooling now that i have some time on my hands to play around a bit. i haven't had a chance to thoroughly research it so i"m hoping to get some specific products and first hand reviews with this thread.

my questions are these:
1) is it better to go to an electric fan set-up with a toggle in the cab or increase the radiator size in our 3rd gens? Do people run the electric fans in addition to, or in replacement of our belt driven stock fans?

2) for the tranny do people like to run an auxiliary coolant loop after the engine radiator or go for an electrically cooled exchanger? i'm thinking the less electric stuff under the hood the better, but would like to know some mechanically cooled options that people have had good experience with.

sorry to combine two products into one thread. i'm hoping "aftermarket cooling" covers both.

thanks for the advice.

Personally I'm a fan of electric fans... lol sounds funny... anyways I also think it's better to have LESS electronics to depend on, but that's just me... the mechanical fan clutch is super easy to change if it fails and it's tried and true. To my knowledge there are no cooling issues in stock form other than possible radiator failures. I added an air to liquid cooler inline AFTER the radiator for my transmission mounted to the front of the condenser... it's not a B&M, but it does the trick
