If anything, you will be at an advantage since he has already done my truck, and knows how to take it apart as well as how to install the z130BT. That is probably what took the most time was reading the diagrams and trying to follow the build threads i brought (from this forum!)
We didn't get the camera feed into the z130BT yet, but, that is because we couldn't find the wires. I had a bunch of documentation, but, it was all for the limited models. I found the SR5 diagrams that show the different ECU's which he has to tap into to get the wiring harnesses working. I'm going to search more in the t4r repair manuals and find where the camera feed runs, i think it runs on the right side of the truck, right into the rearview mirror, i'm pretty sure i saw it, i just didn't print it out dammit! Anyway, I also want to repaint my dash kit, as i bought 2 of them to play around with. So i'm not completely done with the install.
Next, he installed a little switch that fools the car into thinking the e-brake is installed. it works, so i can play movies while driving, or better yet change the navigation directions while moving, BUT, there is a speed sensor that trips after the car moves faster than 12 miles an hour, so the movie stops playing, etc. The unit also 'greys out' different system settings while the car is driving, which is annoying because odds are my passenger or my navigator would be making the changes to the settings/radio/nav/movie, etc. So we gotta figure that out, although i don't think it will be too hard since there are lots of guys on youtube who have figured it out and say how they did it.
