Aftermarket Warranty Options if Factory is Expired

This is a Toyota Extra Care Warranty only sold by Toyota dealerships. I have no plans to alter the mechanical aspects of the car.

read my post above yours... standard yes but certain dealerships (like mine) offer a lifetime drivetrain free of charge and it is good anywhere in the US.

I bought extended warranty for my a Ford Windstar once in my life. I paid about $1500 and did about $900 worth of repairs under the warranty. It was Ford extended warranty, so repairs had to be done in a dealeship, I guess they might have cost less if they are done by independent mechanic. Certanly the warranty gives you some peace of mind but I think I would be better off to open a special savings account in the bank and putting $500 there every year. I expect T4R will require less fixing than old Windstar, so I don't want to buy any extended warranties unless they are really cheap and they are bumper to bumper. Just my experience.
