Is it hot, or just not cold?
Thanks for replying,
I went and had the aircon looked at by a local garage and they told me the freon levels were too high and a belt was lose. So, I let them fix those two problems for a price of $75 bucks. Well, the air blew cool for about a day and yesterday morning I got in the truck and nothing but hot air was blowing through the vents. It has been like that ever since, the air just never gets cold. The compressor sounds like it is running fine, and belts are turning fine. I have no idea what it could be, but in the 100 degree weather I live in an air conditioner is vital. If you could give me any tips they would be very helpful and I'd appreciate it alot. Thanks, Nick.

The problem with that, obex, is that the mechanic said the freon level was 'too high' so he let it out. Nick's problem is not having 'too much freon' in it now.
The A/C pump also has a clutch on it. If you don't have a spindle problem with that clutch, you just lost al7l. 04your freon somehow....(Of course, if the pressure of too much freon in the pump led to the pump leaking somewhere-you'll be looking at way more than a $75 bill. btw, my mechanic does A/C fill for free if you buy your own juice.)

My other thought, is that if it's blowing hot (not just warm, but as if the heat was on) could be in the controls.
If I remember correctly the 'hot/cold' control is connected to two cables, one to adjusts airflow from the heater to fresh, the other adjusts airflow from the AC.
Though I might just be stupid.
Either way, there is a possibility that the AC is kicking in (as he said he can hear the compressor kick in), but the controls are somehow stuck on 'hot', and that that is re-warming the air.
You might want to check controls, or open up the dash to see if the AC unit is getting cold.
My AC just doesn't work, but if you roll down your windows, including the back window, you get a very nice cooling breeze. Keeps me happy in 95 degree/90% humid Wisconsin summers (it gets damn hot and muggy here!)
