airbags and PSI

took first trip with ktm superduke on back on truck on versa hauler. Worked great but here is my newbie question.

before i added bike and rack i took a measurement at hitch (19"). once i put bike on measurement was somewhere around 16". should i be pumping up airbags to bring truck back to 19"?

I brought the PSI to 70psi to bring truck back to stock setting but not sure this is the proper way to use airbags for hauling.

any help on this appreciated.

Just inflate them to where you are comfortable...there is no "set" height.

70 psi seems way to high...I've never done 30..but I have the Airlift bags.

I am not sure if this is the case with all air bags, but I think the airlift has a max of ~35 PSI? Might not hurt to read the directions one more time and see what the max is just in case

Which SuperDuke? How much does it weigh? As Pat said 70 seems way too high. My campers tongue weight is approx 400lbs and I run 15-20lbs in my Airlift bags which levels it out nicely.

2008 SuperDuke 990. just had a sick track day with it in NJ.

i too thought 70 psi was high, but that seemed to be the amt needed to bring rear back up to stock height. thoughts?
