alarm issues HELP!!!!

I took out the battery for some work on the vehicle....put battery back in and now am having alarm issues...... I have the keyfob with one single button on it that unlocks and locks doors and arms the alarm.
How do I reset the alarm so that when I open the doors(unlocked) the alarm will not go off.

I have a switch below my red light on the left of the stering wheel that toggles from valet or horn defeat.

if its not factory then search for info from the manufacturer of the alarm system.
