I knew my truck sat pretty high but i could not get a feel of it until i pulled up next to stock one.

Testing out suspension

As you all know i purchased MT long travel rear suspension and i knew that it travels 27" downward and 11.5" of wheel travel, so i tried to stretch those legs a little, but it has more to stretch then demonstrated below. [MENTION=76166]Qjake[/MENTION], i know you interesting in buying the kit, i don't know if those pictures will do justice, but here is a little stretch.

Yeah that's a lot more droop than just the standard 2" lift coils and on the right side the wheel still has room to stuff even with the extended bump stop. I like it! :bigok:

Did you also get the offset lower links? If no are the OEM links binding on the rear end?

No I didn't get the lower links, but eventually I will. I have heavy duty sway bar end links which is longer then stock and I felt their were a help in downward drop and didn't restrict movement, the lower links seemed ok too, I'm sure with MT lower link it will be better. Plus I didn't deflate tires they are at 40psi, so I know there is more in that suspension, I just can't to seem stretch it out all the way.

They are just new that why they look so good. I use Black Magic Wet Tire Spray on tires and the wheels just water and dry they, i would be cautious about using some chemicals, because i realized again that Ultra Motor Sport don't know how to spray paint their wheels.

Okay, thanks. I used some wheel cleaner on my gauntlets last week and the wheels look more grey than black now. I can't figure out if they actually faded, or if i just think they did. Sometimes they look black in darker light, and then they look kinda grey in full sun. The wheel cleaner i used was this

Sonax 230200-755 Wheel Cleaner : Amazon.com : Automotive

it said it was Acid-free and pH balanced formula
Safe for aluminum, chrome, painted and clear coated wheels

So i figured i was okay. Anyway, like i said it's possible that its just in my head and they actually haven't faded or anything, just can't tell.

Ultra's website says to only clean their wheels with soap and water and to not use any cleaner..dammit. Now i know...fail.

The gauntlets I sold you and the ones I have is mattle black so you will see a little resemblance of grey. I had problem with one of the cap right out of box and they request new one, when new one came, it was glossy black and my wheels were mattle black so you could see the difference.

Squeaky shocks

I know I started different thread for "squeaky shocks problems" but I wanted to keep it in my thread just in case someone is looking at my build thread and is interesting in same suspension setup, they know what to expect or not. So my long travel kit icon shocks start squeaking after a week of being install. They were only squeaking when going over speed bump. When we lifted the truck up with my mechanic and start pushing the spare tire up and down we figured the noise was coming from shocks and if you touched them you could feel a vibration in them from the noise. Also in my research for the problem I was experiencing I found that a lot of people who has icon shocks or the same kit as me where experiencing the same noise. Like I mention before the noise was only when going over speed bumps, I don't want to scare anyone away from icon because other wise icon product is superb and I love the travel of my long travel kit. I contacted LT from Metal Tech and he said Icon will be gladly to service them because they were under 90 day warranty, so I send them in to icon, hopefully they will get back squeaky free and soon enough because it is scare to drive with stock ones and extended coils in the rear. I will update as soon as I get them back and install.

Budbuilt makes hidden winch plate, that you have to install and then you can attach winch on that mount. Ill definitely post some pictures but it won't be for another two/three weeks.

turns out my wheels are just really dirty...they haven't faded, it's just brake dust. i'm an idiot. thanks anyway bro! what were you running them at, 38 psi? is that right?
