turns out my wheels are just really dirty...they haven't faded, it's just brake dust. i'm an idiot. thanks anyway bro! what were you running them at, 38 psi? is that right?

When i ran them on my 4th gen i ran them at 36.5, i think the 38 will be two hard, but search up on this forum how to perform a chalk test and you can figure out what psi you need. You basically draw the line with a chalk across the tire, but i do not remember what represents if the chalk erases inside or on the outer side and that how you figure out the needed psi.

High Tech Auto and Truck Mod

I went to Bobby's shop today to resolve some of the issues i had with squeaking up front. My UCA was not lubes properly, no bodies fault, the mechanics who installed it for me first, do not specialize in modding trucks and i guess i translated the instructions poorly, but i put that behind me because my truck is squeaky free.

On Monday, i was able to install Bud Built Sliders, by myself. It was PIA or neck, it took me quiet some time, but here are the pictures

Thanks, It wasn't so much of the pain as it just took some time. I was glad I had helped from someone who did it before couple times, because there was small but important details which I would not even think about it.

Used your BudBuilt bumpout slider pics to plant the seed with the wife last night. I think it went well. Her main comment was..."you are changing out those side steps again, what is wrong with what you have??" Not really gung-ho about it, but not completely shut down either. Now I just have to keep her happy long enough without any steps on the truck at all to get the N-Fabs sold, additional funds pulled together and lead time for sliders waited out!

Sounds good! I don't know if you will get the power coated or bare metal but if you order them in bare metal than it only took 11 days from the date I order to my door. Also if you and your wife use your truck a lot maybe you wanna consider Bud Builts sliders with partial or full thread, of course it adds up the price. I am def going for bare steel and doing the finishing myself to save some cash as many have done on the forum. I think I will go without the added tread. There is a metal fab guy over on Tacoma world that has a bolt on step option that will make any slider similar to the N-Fabs as far as the stepping capability. If she complains too much, I think he only charges like $50 a step and has several different options...not the sexiest looking thing when on the slider, but if she is happy, I think I can live with an easy bolt on solution. Now I just have to figure out how to get it done before October...along with the several hundred dollars in ammo I will blow through!

When I got the lift, I asked the wife about wanting a step (She's 5'4) and when I showed her both the NFabs and the bolt on step, her response was "That looks stupid; if I can't get into the truck, we'll just take my car for the around town stuff".

she's really gotten used to the SW sliders I have on mine. Only main complaint is in the winter or rain that the back of her pants touch the dirty sliders when she slides out of the seat.

CB antenna installed

Two days ago I installed CB antenna on my OEM roof rack. Thanks to OKKI and Antman, I like how clean the installed turned out. My antenna cable is only seen a little on the roof and when you open the rear gate, other then that I hided it in the wire hose for rear window wiper and threaded through a wholes it had to the side of the truck and followed the wiper wire line.

This is half folded. Antenna can be straight and half folded if I need clearance

I had to drive 2 hours on highway and did not had Velcro, so zip tie was doing a job of holding the antenna, until I realize I can put antenna all the way flat adjacent to roof rack rail.

Now I just have to connect my radio receiver to power, tune it and it should work. I put the receive where everyone puts it, under the 4WD leveler.

Sticker price was $39450 and took it for $34850 out the door. Thank you Dave, now I can enjoy my 2013 Sr5 with leather and nav.

I was trying to get one for a year and half, went in to the dealership 3 days before the month was over and the sales manager had to sell 30 cars in 3 days, so I bargain with him for 3 days and got this deal which I could not resist, traded my 4th gen and got 5th gen. The dealer I went before this one had crazy numbers so I left on the spot. There is a thread "What did you pay for 2013" take a look and you will see all kind different prices.

More updates and piece of mind

This past Saturday I was able to install some goodies on my truck.
Full set of BudBuilt skids, the quality is amazing and they are freaking heavy.

I also got RCI bumper filler skid, which is the perfect fit with BudBuilt front skid, the picture is poor quality, but i'll try getting better ones later.

Icon LCA Skid was also installed, fitment was good, the one thing one of the whole on OEM LCA had to be drilled bigger, otherwise pretty easy install.

Installed Metal Tech offset lower and upper links, those things are massive compare to stock ones.
