Well I finally figured out how to multiple quote lol
Yea thats what I've read and heard. I was thinking about fabbing a small box that could fit 3-4 jerry cans and then buy some high quality Wavian NATO cans and carrying them in the trunk wrapped up or something. I don't really want to carry them inside, but with my current build and approaching trip date, I don't think I'll have time to do it differently.
Thanks for the feedback. Will definitely look in to the Wavian stuff. Where would you buy them online?
I've looked in to hitch carriers, but I would prefer to not lose that much on my departure angle and remove my rear tow point in the receiver based on some of the unexpected terrain we might encounter.
Yea, proper fuel cans are fine inside. I've got a couple Wavian NATO cans and no gas scent from them at all. I don't really want them inside, but until I reconfigure a roof rack or rear bumper, they'll go inside

I use Wavian NATO cans as well and keep them inside the 4Runner for the time being. No issues with fumes also.

You could get a hitch carrier and a proper siphon system...used that on a 4th Gen after Hurricane Katrina, just take in account your departure angle is going to change, however depends on the trails you choose. I've used them to haul game in some pretty remote areas..one choice of many I imagine
