I CAN'T RESIST YOU!!! It may not be a 3" Toytec but it's 2 more inches than my saggy ass had!

Just ordered '99 springs and Bilstein HD shocks.

My 99's current springs are sagged to hell and arent the tall ones, not to mention I can't wait to not nosedive during braking, turn normally, and have some COMFORT!!

I finally got my harmonic balancer in (A B1TCH!)and it's never run this smooth since the day I got it. New front crank seal and STUPID pinion seal in the axle and fluid, too. Brake fluid is new too, made an amazing difference but still wont get much difference til the new shocks and springs. Didn't take a pictures, sorry.

WHEN I GET MY NEW SHIT I'LL POST PICS! sorry excited ahah

I would do a normal lift but I'm not as ballsy as Justin727, no 3" in a 3RZ for me.

99 spring part numbers:
Front Right Springs - Blue / Yellow (48131-35400) Passenger Side
Front Left Springs - Blue / Pink (48131 - 35350) Driver Side
Both Rear Springs - Yellow / Red (48231 - 35210) Both Rear

I'd say 3" for you if you want my opinion. That's what I'd get if I had a 6cyl.

Haha I know how you feel man. Seeing all these threads about people lifting really, really makes me wanna lift mine too. Don't know exactly what I want to get yet, but I'm looking at OME 881/906.

My wallet's gonna hate me..new lift will make me want new tires, then who knows what next. lol

In July I was going to drive home to visit family. alot of Interstate driving and freeway driving. I was gonna come back and post how much of a pita it could have been if it did turn out to be a pita.

Usually I keep up with traffic from stops without a problem. The main thing is that I'm running some fairly heavy 18's (32's) so that's what has made a big difference. As far as the lift goes it really helped the way the truck handles and feels.

But those 99 coils and new shocks will do ya good. Besides no need to throw all kinds of money at it when you're looking for a V6 anyhow!

Can't wait to see more pics!

Yeah just did this to my 99 in the front, havent got the rears yet. Make sure your black cup for the spring on the Bilsteins HD is facing the correct way. unlike me that had to do it twice, total learning curve. I can change out a strut now on my rig very fast, not sure thats a good thing... hmmm, anyway, the cone goes towards the top of the strut totally going over the C-clip on the strut body. just food for thought. Good luck. Mine had 205K on her so figured new coils would be a welcome treat.

Not to jack the thread but I am confused about something. Why does a 3in lift include OME Coils for the rear and then spacers for the front? Wouldn't it be easier and better to just do new coils for the front and rear? Seems like the price is pretty comparable too.

Whatever lift kit that is, bad idea.

Toytec 3" lift I'm sure comes with bilstein adjustable coilover up front...

OME has a few different coils for the front for different loads...

Neither come with spacers...

he's probably talking about the toytec kit. Front spacers rear coils that is a cheap way to raise it.
In the Tundra world spacers killed UBJ's and the bilstien 5100's ruled the forums.

I've been thinking of getting a body lift for mine.

It is ToyTecs Best Seller because it is cheaper so more affordable and it isn't the best idea because you're still using he original springs up front that have been sagging already. So this will just hurt em quicker but you'll get the same look as all around spring lift.

I see a lot of jeeps and trucks around here with a spacer lift even had a 4runner guy try and sell me his spacers but denied him because any I've seen with this lift in about a year or so they'll be right back like before, sagging and usually just as bad if not worse.

If you're under there changing things out might as well do it professionally and not stress over it all again in a year or two. I'm sure it's worth saving up and waiting for too lol don't make a judgement about your car based on cheap looks won't pay off in the end.

He and I talked, really nice guy, but the same price was offered to me here. It's easier for me to just get them with Power Toyota Irvine since it's just right around the corner. Thanks for your help Brandon! After all, if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have had the part #'s

kinda off topic but i just wanted to clarify. the spacer kit that we sell is what is called a preload spacer. all it does is sit in between the spring and the top plate on the shock and keeps the spring compressed more. it is a cheap way to lift the truck but obviously there are better options. the downside to the preload spacer is that the ride will be a bit rougher since the springs are always compressed more than normal and the spring will probably wear out quicker(especially if you have old springs). a top plate spacer, which is what justin was talking about, sits on top of the whole shock assembly in between the shock and the mount on the frame. those are the ones that screw up ball joints and cv's and such since they lower the whole shock which screws up the suspension geometry.
