I picked up my T4R in April of '13. I had recently received orders to my current base and decided against trying to convert my 2004 PreRunner to 4x4. I found the T4R in Greensboro, NC with 87k miles and in excellent condition.
I began like most others by removing the side steps.
Then took a dremel and trimmed my mud flaps
Next I did some preventive maintenance and installed a Tru Cool 4590 Cooler and new radiator. I by passed the stock cooling position completely. Link for details on this cooler.
I also purchased a ScanGauge to monitor my Trans Temps especially with the bypass.
I then started to swap over parts from my '04 PreRunner to the T4R.
My deckplate and AirRaid tube that I carried over from the Tacoma
