I picked up my T4R in April of '13. I had recently received orders to my current base and decided against trying to convert my 2004 PreRunner to 4x4. I found the T4R in Greensboro, NC with 87k miles and in excellent condition.

I began like most others by removing the side steps.

Then took a dremel and trimmed my mud flaps

Next I did some preventive maintenance and installed a Tru Cool 4590 Cooler and new radiator. I by passed the stock cooling position completely. Link for details on this cooler.

I also purchased a ScanGauge to monitor my Trans Temps especially with the bypass.

I then started to swap over parts from my '04 PreRunner to the T4R.

I also upgraded the tires to 265/75/16 Duratracs, I have no complaints they are awesome off-road and over snow/ice daily road conditions.

Very nice truck man! 87k is super low mileage too. I saw your build over on Tacoma world. Looks like you know what your doing so I can't wait to see what you do with this one

Thanks man.

Andy Mod came next, this has been easily one of the most beneficial mods I've done. When running thorugh deep snow being able to defeat the Trac/VSC is huge.

Snorkel, got it for around $140 free shipping. I used silicone around he top of the snorkel and ran the bead to the curve.

I later came to "utilize" some spare screen for the opening of the snorkel.

One of maybe the least "Sexy" mods but the top of my head is now safer because of new shocks for the gate.

Plasti dipped the hood, my main intent was to eliminate glare (success).
