Alternative to the T-Tech Tranny flush..?

whats up guys,

I heard about an alternative to the machine-based flush t-tech or whatever (Which is obviously better than a drain/refill which won't replace all the old fluid) which entails draining the tranny fluid from the transmission send/receive lines on the radiator with the car started and in parallel feeding the transmission new fluid until you are able to replace 100% of the old fluid.

Has anyone on here tried this with success or seen a writeup? It would obviously take more quarts than capacity and eventually you'll need a way to differentiate between the old and new fluid (maybe by color or measuring what comes out compared to capacity if colors are similar)

Would this really replace all the old tranny fluid (Including Torque Converter on Autos)? Seems like a good DIY option for the Tranny fluid.

Here's an awesome writeup for the 3rd gen. Dropping Pan And Flushing Transmission
You don't need to drop the pan, just read the beginning of the writeup and follow the steps he says to if you're only flushing. I've done this and it does get all of the old ATF out.
