Alternatives to 4runner alternator?

So I am replacing the radiator on my 97 as a precautionary as the idiot before me thought dex cool and toyota red coolant was a good idea(sludgy)

Either way I have a aftermarket tranny cooler and I don't need those extra lines that the radiator comes with by default. Has anyone found a better alternative which is simply for cooling the engine?

Otherwise, what is the best one to buy outside of OEM without spending 400? Koyo?

I'd take it to a radiator shop and let them rod it and clean it out real good. That or buy a new one from Amazon for a $100. Those are the two options I'm looking at with mine right now after the previous owner put stop leak in the system.

How does the alternator cool the engine?

So did the radiator fluid get sludgy yet? or you jsut worried?

if it still looks normal just run a hose inline with it and let the engine run for a whole and flush everything from the engine. Then you can drain it all and fill with distilled water and drain again. do that once of twice Then fill with the red and your good to go.

If you still want to buy a new radiator just use the stock cooler for a while since it takes forever for any fear or milk shake or just by pass it from the start and use the aftermarket one you have.

The radiator/hoses are sludgy and it is preventative. I already have an aftermarket Tranny cooler so my question is more around

Is there an alternative where we can use the full size of it for simply engine cooling? Otherwise what is the best brand to buy within reason for a stock engine?

I got a good deal on my car because it was owned by an idiot, creating that sludgy mess is one of his mishaps and the radiator hoses were pretty awful looking before I changed them
