Amber 4157 for DRL's - Anyone change 'em to white?

I'm really not crazy about the amber DRL's on my '08 and I'm not sure why they're amber to begin with. Has anyone replaced them with white? How's it look?

Anyone try the 4157 Silverstar? They're supposed to be "less amber".

Where did you get the LED's for the front sidemarker lights? I have a set in mine, but the problem is that the light is so defined, that you can see an LED bulb, rather than just a lit up section of my headlight.

Also, your turn signals are now white instead of amber?

I got them from www.v-leds.com I used these right here:

They've got 5 LED's, one facing in each direction and they light up the housing very well. The turn signals are white and they are also much brighter, and when they're not on the bulb is blue which looks badass in the black housing.

Thanks. When the LED is lit up, you can't see it? The whole housing around it is white? (Sorry, just want to make sure it's not just the picture)

Well unlike yours, which scatters light in all directions, mine has focused LEDs all facing forward. So even when pulling up behind someone, I can see the LED in the reflection.

Man those are badass, I'll probably order some myself. But I've heard before that LED's are hard to see during the day time, is that true? Those seem to have a lot of LED's on them per bulb so I don't think that would be a problem.. Did you watch that video at the bottom? They definitely look awesome.

Aren't our turn signals 4157, not 1157?

I remember changing them a while back, the base of the bulb is a twist in(1157), not a wedge(4157). Because the first time I changed the bulbs I didn't twist it in there all the way and it fell into the housing... took me 2 hours to get it out.

The page I gave you was the link to the 08's They didn't change from 07 to 08.

A lot of times those bulb guides web sites are off by a mile, well they were for my 02 and several of my parents vehicles. But trust me, mines a screw in, you sure yours is a wedge? It wouldn't suprise me if they did change from 07-08. As they changed bulb types often for all 3rd Gen's.

Wow, thanks for the confusion! LOL! No, it's all good. I'll be pulling the bulb before I decide what to do. All my documentation indicates the 4157 in my '08. All I want is to either change the amber DRL to white or a softer yellow so I'll keep hunting around and probably try the Silverstars first.

if u have drl, the bulbs are 4157, if they didnt come with drl its 1157, the ones that sylvania list are sometimes wrong, just take out the bulb and check, i did this mistake too, got the 4157 kuss the sylvania website said it, but when i got everything delivered, and try it, it didnt even fit, since it was suppose to be 1157, lucky the place that shipped to me was 15 mins away and it was by my job.
