Last week's hanging in Piedmont Park in Atlanta has been ruled a suicide by the Medical Examiner. Most rational people saw it as such from the beginning based on the evidence reported at the scene, however the BLM crowd labelled it a murder and named the KKK as the aggressor, prompting many ignorant people to repeat the "facts" on social media.

Wonder how many of those folks will issue a correction or any acknowledgement of the false information now that it has been ruled a suicide?

The Dallas shooters mother said he had become a hermit, living a secluded isolated life. This incident will help push the gun control agenda. Instead, it should help push the veterans health care agenda. After all, it was the man behind the gun that was the problem, not the gun. If this veteran had proper mental health care, this incident may not have happened. Maybe all veterans should receive a mental health screening when they return and maybe also a year or two after returning from war. Just food for thought.:artist2:

What is the Canadian's fascination (at least you two guys) with our politics? I work with several Canadians on both ends of your country and they really have nothing more than a passing interest in our problems. Now, they are all highly paid professionals and in their 50's and 60's. They care more about business climate, oil prices and the EU much more than US politics, even though they work with us doing business in both countries! Just curious as to what your difference is between them and you guys. Oh, and they come down here to get their medical needs take care of too, and their children attend university down here also. There seems to be a big disconnect there somewhere. They love Canada, vacation in both the US and Cuba but really don't care anything about our politics. Is it the age? Income level? Education?

That's classic lib thinking...sticking your nose in where it doesn't belong, then wondering why the locals aren't falling over themselves with welcoming arms.

Irish family - they can yell at each other, insult each other, put a knife to each other's throat, etc but if an outsider calls them out, they will unite as one and tear the interloper a new one.

New Yorkers - they can run each over with their cars but if a non New Yorker points out their problems, they will unite and burn you to the ground - especially post 911.

The fact you don't get it reveals that you live in a world of rainbows and unicorns.

Absolutely. I am curious. JD answered this awhile back with the statement, and I paraphrase, "What happens in the US is important to Canadians because we are closely aligned with the US." I get that and respect that. Since then I have discussed these points with my Canadian associates and they could give a rat's ass about American politics. They see it as entertainment lol. So, what is the difference? Are most Canadians like my guys or are most Canadians like Thor and JD? Did we just get lucky and get two of the most outspoken political guys in Canada or are they the majority? Curious, because, I don't know about you but Canada's politics is not in my top ten things to ever discuss anywhere.

Canadians have an identity problem.

For the most part they define themselves with respect to how they are or how they are not like others.

...you should see those "interview on the street" interviews where they ask a Canadian what it is like to be Canadian...

...like, we are like, Americans but waaayyy nicer because we have free health care and no guns.

The quickest way to annoy a Canadian is to ignore them; deep down it bugs the crap out of them that Americans couldn't care less about them.

Ok so I listened live to the speeches and didn't care much for Bush but I didn't like him as a president. Obama started out good but he talked about suspects by name. Gun control how it's easier to buy a Glock than a book or a computer. WTF was he thinking when he is being political at a memorial. He's just pushing his agenda. Remember Ron Emanuel said never let a crisis go to waste while he was the presidents right hand man.

Back to the spark that touched off the fire. In America when a officer of the law says you are being taken in to custody you are under arrest. No if, ands, or buts about it. If you were wrongly arrested you can file a petition or a lawsuit after the fact. Any attorney worth a salt will take a wrongful arrest case. ACLU usually takes them free of charge so money is not an issue. So just the sheer fact that you resisted arrest make you able to be charged with a crime. Then you can have your day in court. If your not an American but in this country the same laws apply to you. If your an American and in another country then that countries laws now apply.

This is a big deal because the press got a chance for a ratings boost and ran with it. The young man in the south that lost his life, attorney was on the radio and tv saying his past criminal record doesn't matter. Only the video tape matters. I was under the impression that all the facts matter. Most of them have not been released or collected yet. He was a convicted felon. Had a previous brandishing of a firearm charge. And did it again. The police made contact with him. He resisted. They tasered him 2? times. That didn't work. They then had to take him to the ground to get him in to custody. Were they supposed to just let him go? Noone except the young man and the police know for sure what happened next. But he was resisting a lot. You can see him look over at the cops gun pointed at his chest and then keep struggling with the cops. This was not a police murder as the protesters are thinking. This is a travesty that could have been completely avoided if the young man had obeyed the commands of the police. (The Law) He knew he had a firearm illegally in his possession. He probably knew this would result in a large prison sentence. He made his choices and now the press and the people are going to put the blame on the wrong person. It's truly sad.


Is there racism and bigotry today? Sure.
The American Democratic Party has been promising the minority community that only they can fix it. For almost 50 years!!! They reinforce the fact the with out them conservative white republicans will crawl in to you reproductive rights and put the black people back in chains "they want to put ya'll back in chains" VP Joe Biden. Hillary Clinton just said regarding the recent deaths it white peoples problem and they caused it. The laws need to be equal to all. After she skated on charges that other government employees are charged with. Then there is Mark Zuckerberg who says building a border wall is racist but built a 6' ya'll stone wall around his 100+ acre estate in Hawaii. We have an elitist vs regular population in this country and they keep is fighting amongst ourselves.

I personally don't give a crap about Canada's politics. Or Europe's. Or the worlds for that matter. The only time I really care is if it is a threat to my way of life. Then I speak up about other countries politics. But unless it's a threat to my way of life it's just a passing interest at best.

Maybe our 2 Canadians need to find something locally to care about. Or maybe they have already fixed Canada and now they are trying to fix America.
