Look at the posts immediately following yours in the thread and you'll see why I've taken a harsh tone with a couple of posters.

To me when someone says something to the effect of 'come and say that to my face' I interpret that as a threat as well. That's what started this whole thing of him posting his address.

And I would also say that I wouldn't imply from the first quote that the person saying that merely wanted to meet up and discuss it over beers. There's definitely a distinct tone to that short statement. Agreed that there was fault on both ends.

Would seem to be beneficial to have an impartial moderator.

Check with 1engineer, I am sure he can give you some sound pointers as that was exactly what his post referenced (tone) with the threat to ban jeremyc74. You posted right after so I guess it's all relative to who is making posts you agree with, etc. See below:

It seems pretty simple to me. The only reason you could justifiable give me to fly the Confederate flag is that you are from the South and proud of it. But why couldn't you just adopt a new Southern flag that represents that and only that?

So if the south adopted a new flag and the KKK and other hate groups adopted it as well would you have to change it again?

That seems like a good way to let hate groups win.
