I explained I backed away from this place and stayed away. Now I was brought back.
It's not hard at all. Remember the topic and how nothing you can ever say or link will ever change the mind of your opposition. This is a no win topic that always spirals down to this level.

Let's be real here .... it is unfair and unreasonable to expect the mods to read every post and every thread then impose order like overprotective helicopter parents.
The way forum modding has worked here the last several years is when people have a problem they report a post or PM the mod.
It is expected that the complaint is legit and that members understand the mods aren't all seeing beings that read every post proactively.

My intent was just to point out that the mods don't read all the posts and that probably isn't going to change anytime soon. Self moderation is a nice goal for all of us.

What can I say I came from honor culture... Gang culture, mafia mentality or whatever else they want to call it. I call sh1t out as i see it.

No, I don't see what the big deal is at all. I feel the same way about covering up license plates on photos. People drive by my house all the time, and see my plate all the time. They're not secrets.
Besides that, I have a raging cocaine dealing mob boss as a neighbor, with several large dogs. He likes me pretty well, so having some crazed and enraged forum member show up with ill intentions not only wouldn't be a problem, it would be downright comical. :reddance:

You should know better than to post personal info on the internet that could lead too your identity or location.
That's just basic OPSEC that should be carrying over into your personal life.

Information security should be taken seriously.
People being able to see your license plate on the road or parked at your house versus an open forum is not apples to apples.
When you are driving down the road or parked in front of your house, your personal beliefs and opinions are not posted for all to see and link to your identity through a license plate or say an address.
Also, be careful about posting your intention of "Shooting first" on the internet, this is the type off stuff a bad DA will try to use against you in a court of law should you ever be involved in a shooting incident.

2) If you want to call someone a name, don't- just turn the computer off and go do something else.
3) If you find yourself arguing instead of debating with someone, stop arguing with them. Turn the computer off and go do something else.
4) If you find you cannot just let silly internet shit go, take a good week or so break from the forum or the internet all together.
5) If you find yourself threatening other posters, or responding to another posters threats thus escalating the situation instead of de-escalating; it's time to take a look in the mirror and ask yourself what the F is the matter, because that's just retarded shit.
6) Ask yourself if you would be responding this way in real life if the person was right in front of your face- if you wouldn't- then don't post it.
And always take at least a few breaks every month from whatever forums you frequent.

sorry man, I know you are fairly new(as a mod) and all. but you do not know how to "MOD". im not sure where the other mods are, and why they aren't helping out. but there are steps that can be taken. its not just ban or nothing.
the forum software is set up specifically to deal with such things. I have explained it in the past, but it apparently fell on deaf ears.
the forum should have a infraction system in place. each infraction, depending on what it is will come with points. after so many points, THE SYSTEM will administer a ban. this is not a personal thing, it is an earned consequence for their behavior.
