Angel Eye question - opinions wanted

I've started my angel eye installation today, its almost complete, but I'm curious what others have done with these or if anybody has any ideas as to what I could do.



Current wired and functional situation:

1 and 3, wired together
2 is signals
4 is low beam
5 is high beam
8 is a yellow running daylight that I plan to change to white (Has a yellow reflector on the side).

I need help/advice with 6 (angel eyes surround HB and LB) and 7 (3 small LEDS). I thought about doing some work to make it so I can run the fog lights (1 and 3) under any condition (currently only possible with LBs) and wireing the angel eyes into that. Or, running new wire/fuse with a switch or two to have complete control of both the angel eyes and the 3 LEDs. I've even considered using one of the two wired into the turn signals.

Basically I have a few ideas but still have no clue what I wish to do and was just looking for more Ideas from you guys out here.

Typically the Halo's and LED's are wired with the DRL's right? I think that would be the way to go.

Maybe rewire #8 with #2 as your blinkers. Just my thoughts.

My Halos and Angel Eyes are wired to the parking lights. When I switch them on, the Halos, Angel Eyes, DRLs, and taillights are on.

I like the idea of 8 and 2 getting wired together... I think I'll wire the 3 led's with my LB's and put the angel eyes on with my lower arb foglights, and then do the work so that they can be independant of the LB's.

Have either of you guys tryed to put HID's in here yet?

Well I don't have the same headlamp housing as you guys but if you're talking HID's in general, my advice would be to spend the money and get a proven quality set.

I've had a poor experience with some $37 eBay junk. Light output was good but one of them (left) didn't always turn on with the first flick of the switch and eventually it ended up blowing the fuse. I think it just needed a relay and would have been fine, but I had enough so I just chunked the whole system.

As the old adage goes... Ya get what ya pay for.

I got 6000K HIDs in mine and they are great. They match perfectly with the color of the Halos too. I ordered them when I ordered the headlights.

Output pics of how these perform please, true retrofit projectors will be alot better, also these ebay halos are the worst thing to put on the truck. If the headlights dont light up the road right, why use them, big safety to yourself and passengers.

Hey Husky, I have the same headlights and always have problems with the 3 LED's going out, I have them wired to my blinkers. Do you have the same problem of now of a fix?
