Cant wait to see how it turns out, just wondering if I should have a backup pair of headlights or is that not something I should worry about? This mod seems easy enough.

Just finished mine up today. Love the look. I did leave the yellow reflector in there safety/police reasons. They are really strict but I dont need to give them any more reason to pull me over...

I've been meaning to do this mod for awhile now, it was a fun project. It took about 4 hours, I found the hardest part to be the removal of the 4th bolt on the drivers side headlamp underneith the wheelwell, as well as the silcon melting and getting stuck on certain areas of the painted section and outer housing where I didn't want it. Pita to get off the lens. All in all, the look is exactly what I wanted.
Take your time on this mod, that will provide the best results. If I were to do it all over again, I'd be more careful with the melted silicon and where it ends up.

This might be a dumb question, but when you heated the lights up to put them back together, did you place the lens in the housing, put them in the oven to heat, then push them together. Or did you heat the two pieces separate then push them together? Just want to make sure i do it right the first time. Thanks.

Put them in at the same time side by side. Or use a heat gun on the clear lens while the housing is baking. Just be sure to preheat oven then turn it off when you put the lights in there.
I always use a cookie sheet and cardboard on top of the cookie sheet.....Do not preheat the cookie sheet.

Bowtie3 offers a great response thank you. i cant remember exactly how i did it but i think either way would work honestly. either way you’re getting the glue nice and soft to press together. i do remember holding them together for a bit while they cooled down, so i know they were pressed together nicely.

thats personal preference. i ended up removing the amber piece from mine though

Here's one thing I did that gave me a good clean surface. I was anxious about spraying right on top of the chrome plating so i sprayed the entire piece with Heavy Duty Easy Off (yellow can)....let it sit for just a little bit and it was as clean as could be. Of course i washed them really good with dish washing liquid to get them even cleaner. Here is what it looked like after spraying them with Easy Off and just rinsing with the hose.
