Another forum/sub-forum?

gentleman... and ladies :naughty:

i would like to propose a new forum called "announcements"

this forum could be used to announce trail runs and gatherings/meetings, etc etc and be located near the top of the t4r page. actually i think at the very top above new members would be just perfect.


this forum would require moderator permission prior to posting and would strictly be used for announcement purposes.

why should we make an announcement forum you might ask?


it is my opinion/experience that people don't really check the geographical clubs down at the lower parts of the forum.


the creation of an announcement forum would allow posts to be at the top of the page and garner more exposure, thus, hopefully, resulting in larger turn outs to events.

this would also allow for meetings to be seen by members with various generations of 4runners.


what do you folks/mods think about the idea?


can we put this to a vote/poll? simple yay or nay?

Well, Im with you... but I have long suggested both getting rid of the club section that nobody reads or posts in and moving the Announcements section up to near the top but I was shot down several times.

In fact, they added the vendor section in between pushing the Announcements and Meets sections even further into oblivion (or Bolivia as Tyson would say)

just realized that there IS in actuality, an already existing announcement forum.

It would be good but this forum a little messy with it's sections. I never even knew we had regional sections until recently. That would have helped me immensely in the past if it was obvious.
