I am the opposite. I live in NJ and go through Staten Island at least once a week. What color and model 4Runner do you have? I don't see it in your signature.

It is true. Now I will pay more attention to the black 4th gens I see with NY plates. Also, I used to live in New Springville and Pleasant Plains before moving to Joisey!!!

Today (10-10) at around 2:00 pm, I saw a black 4th gen Limited with a t4r.org sticker. It was making a right turn onto route 537, exiting from Freehold Mall. It was a silver t4r.org sticker on the rear window that looks into the liftgate on the drivers side. Who was it?? I am interested to know! Also, there were some ski racks or something on the roof rack. I couldn't really get a good look.

I did the Staten Island to Freehold run and back from like 5 to 7 tonight. The best way to recognize me is by my plates.
"ALLIE XO" NY tags. I do not have T4Runer sticker, all debadges no stickers.

I am pretty sure it wasn't you. I have seen your 4Runner at the dealer!! The truck had NJ plates and I was able to read the "Limited" off of the driver's door. I must have just missed you because I left Freehold at around 4:30 today!!

Mark, it may have been me. I have the ski racks and the sticker on the driver side but I have a sport not a limited.

Maybe it was a sport. It went by very fast so I could have mis-read the side. I couldn't see the hood for a scoop because I was focused on the t4r.org sticker. It is the first one I have seen. Were you at Freehold yesterday around 2:00 pm? The ski racks look the same.

My 4runner is not like the others in NJ. No Sunroof, no DRL but with the weight dist hitch. Other differences inside too.

I've had it for about 6 months and love it. Best part is taking it on the beach in IBSP or at Cape Cod MA.

It must have been you then. The truck I saw was going toward Jackson. I am from Marlboro. I am surprised we don't run into each other more often. I am around that are quite often. I was coming home from the Jackson outlets! It is cool I saw your truck!

Hope to maybe hook up with some other members for some tips and advice on 4Runners and NJ driving. I will be stationed at McGuire AFB in Southern Jersey and hoping to live in Mt. Laurel.

Oh, Marc86, about hte pm i sent you about insurance. I was able to get my insurance agent down here to write a policy to cover me in NJ. Its a heck of a lot cheaper!!!!!!!!

Welcome to NJ! That would be cool if we could arange a meet for the tri-state area members. You are lucky about the insurance! You usually don't hear the words "cheap car insurance" around NJ!

I figured that from what I read. From what I was able to find on the internet, pricing.........I am paying about a third or less than the same coverage up there. Hooking up for a meet would be cool...just won't be taking the truck off-road til I get some time in it. I am still under 1,000 miles.
