You can't see it, but there are 5 fire trucks…All because our coke machine caught on fire…Also, I got this weird stuff forming on my ride…I think it's this thing called ICE…We're not used to this stuff down here.

The machine had a large flame behind the plastic panel in the lower left. You can see where we sprayed the extinguisher inside the machine. I would like to see the inside.

Same here in Leesville, minus the coke machine fire. This is the worst icing and snow I've seen here since we moved here in 1989.

I'm on the west coast now but from Mandeville. I saw the weather forecast amd just kinda laughed, my parents who still live there were less than thrilled. My dad said they closed his office for the last two days in New Orleans so people wouldn't drive in.

snow/(black) ice and slush in the spring. btw, i hate slush worse than ice/snow.

just coming out the gate during lunch, i slid the whole truck around the curve to merge to the highway at roughly 25-35 mph, that was fun.

Can't speak for Hothlanta, but this was the forecast Tuesday morning for Alabama.

No accumulation was expected.

The snow came much earlier and there was much more (lol) than anticipated. So somewhere around 11, all the area schools closed and said: "Take your kids" Also, most businesses began to close. So almost the entire metro area (1M) tried to pick up their kids and go home at the same time. Add in a layer of ice below the snow, and you get kids born in cars, Chick-fil-a's handing out free food, and Home Depots turning into Warming Depots.

Yeah, well. Even with that mess you'd think they might have been more preemptive/proactive. I was driving OTR south of there in 2010, when that last blizzard made it all the way down to Fla. One would think they might have learned something from that one. Oh, wait. We are talking about government agencies aren't we?

And I'll bet that's a 2wd Gen 4. It seems like looking for hens teeth finding 4wd models in certain metro areas.
