I've had my 4 runner for about 3 weeks now and got the itch to upgrade it. Vehicle is 15 sr5 premium 4x4 with a 3rd row, black tube steps, stock so far. I have tires narrowed down to duratracs and stt pros. Both in 265/70/17. I want the coopers cause I love the look but obvious concerns with life, ride, weight and noise. After the tires I'd do the suspension a bit. Nothing crazy, just bilstein 5100s front to level it out. Maybe rear too with some new coils to stiffen it a bit.
My concerns in doing the rims/tires are with stopping the extra weight that's added. After rims and tires id guess a extra 20-25lbs. With the suspension I've read that the increased angle can cause cv joints to wear more quickly so I would need to adjust/lower/replace other things to help prevent additional wear. Thanks for any input...
