This is the 2nd gen Prius. Well, at least, this will keep Toyota Prius prices from skyrocketing! I am sure that there are plenty of Prius buyers that welcome this news....

Hmmm, keys pulled out of the ignition. I thought the second gen all had Smartkeys.

I thought so too. But on lower trim 2nd gen Prius, you still had a traditional key.

The 2nd gen had a metal key but its only for the door locks. The key fob goes into a slot on the dash and you can only pull it out of the slot if the car is in N or P.

Just another instance of wrong pedal and panic..
