why can't more fab shops make bumpers that don't go all the way up to the taillight and totally hack up and get rid of the rear panels of the truck!? everything that I've researched and seen just doesn't do it for me... might just have to settle for a swing out spare tire carrier hmmm

this is the cleanest and nicest 4th gen bumper I've seen to date and the guy who made it doesn't make them anymore lol. The fact that it doesn't go all the way up to the tail light is what has me wanting it. BAD

I got tired of looking at the ugly stock 5 spoke wheels and ordered up some walker evans 501's.

also got in on C4Fab's bolt on sliders group buy, Im really looking forward to getting these mounted up!

hmmm now to think of a front bumper, demello or relentless fab...

well turns out the walkers are backordered and out of stock for a undetermined amount of time....figures because these damn things are amazing wheels but I'm not okay with Jegs having taking $619 of my hard earned doll hairs without sending me any product so I'm calling them tomorrow getting a refund and just might order some level8 bullypro's from discount tire not sure though.

Called the mfg ultra wheels a few times to get updates and I guess they had to build my wheels after I ordered them. They were saying these walkers in the size I have never stay in stock for long. I'm glad I waited.

found these on ebay for 700 bucks should be here sometime next week! i'll give them a rebuild and throw them on the truck one of these days.

I wish!!!! I thought really hard about it and I know if I did go LT with this 4runner it would just snowball like my Tacoma lol. I have to admit if I ever find a goood deal on a kit I might just snatch it up lol!

I also just ordered a Gibson catback exhaust, from the bit of YouTube research I did i figured the Gibson was one of the quieter exhaust options for this thing. Hopefully I made the right choice lol

that RTT on the back of my tacoma is sitting in my garage right now, Im just waiting for the right time to slap it up on the 4runner.

Also forgot to add i just bought an awning for the tortuga as well. Got it off ebay, It is pretty much exactly the same as the ARB touring 2000 series but 130 bucks cheaper.

The ARB goes for $279 this will run you $140 take a look and get one for yourself.

My sliders showed up this morning, C4 Fab is straight quality! I'm super pumped on getting these painted and installed.


Once these are bolted up I'm thinking of sealing the outside edges with some sort of silicone to keep the salty Midwest winters out from between the mounting plates and frame.

Well since running into the snag with the sliders I had to do something to make me feel better... so I decided id hop on eBay and find myself a used 3rd member to throw a Yukon grizzly locker in lol I found a decent used third with 3.73's which came out of a 98 v6 t4r. Should be here next week. Unfortunately I've Gotta wait till next payday to get the locker.

Howdy everyone, well i'll start off with a little background of myself, another build I own and i guess random BS'ing and whatever else. In short I grew up in sunny San Diego and have been around off road racing and the deserts of So.cal my entire life. One thing led to another, life happened and I got a job with the Coast Guard which has taken me to the Pacific North West and now Milwaukee Wisconsin.

Being stationed in the midwest wasn't my first choice, but hey beggers can't be choosers right?

Knowing what the midwest does to vehicles i freaked out so me and the wife took road trip and took my Tacoma home back to San Diego and stored it at my parents house.

Heres my 2005 4banger 4x4, I built this thing into a reliable daily driver /weekend whoop eating desert exploring machine. You can check that build out here if you like.

My pops taco that i hooked up with Pelfrey bolt on front and rear bumpers on the left and my rickety POS on the right.

So here i am in wisconsin bored out of my mind now with no project to work on so what do i do?.... thats right go find myself a V8 4runner to build lol!

A few weeks go by and i finally find myself a mint condition no rust anywhere 05 4.7l with 149k on her for 7300 bucks. Couldn't ass that up. Took her home and started planning out what i want to do with this thing.

Damn! You got a good deal on the 4runner, I paid nearly double that here in SD with more miles.
I like where this build is going! I want to eventually do a LT too. And is that light bar a BajaDesigns?
