Damn! You got a good deal on the 4runner, I paid nearly double that here in SD with more miles.
I like where this build is going! I want to eventually do a LT too. And is that light bar a BajaDesigns?

yeah i couldn't pass up the truck once i saw it in person, i do need to replace the timing belt still but that wasnt deterring me from buying it in anyway whatsoever.

i wish my light bar was a baja designs! i can't justify spending that much on aux lighting lol this is what i have, its mounted up with apexfab stealth light bar mounts

Spoke with Caleb [MENTION=131444]C4 Fabrication[/MENTION] and wow talk about customer service A++ for sure! He was willing to go above and beyond any of my expectations with my slider situation. I definitely recommend them for anything you may need.

After I got of the phone with him I thought about my options...I figured well since I have all the basic fab tools and me being the impatient person iam I decided to do exactly what I didn't want to at first lol I just modified the sliders by cutting the driver side cross member frame mount back a little and I completely cut the passenger side mount off.

Later down the road I will take the mounting plate that I cut off the passenger side cut it down to size, move it forward off the cross member, weld it back onto the slider drill a hole in the plate and bottom of the frame just forward of the cross member and then bolt it down with a self tapping bolt and call it good!

Here's a pic of the passenger side for an idea of what iam talking about. Don't pay any attention to the shitty wet spray paint lol

I'm sorry you had to make some mods so they would fit how you want them too. We have updated our website to say that our sliders only fit the v6 model. Thanks for being understanding and patient with our mistake. Let me know if we can hook you up with some swag or something like that for the added effort you had to put in!

It was no problem at all, I appreciate the amazing customer service! Like I said in the PM there's no point in wasting your money on shipping when I can just take an extra hour of my day to modify the slider to fit just perfect! I will upload some pics of them installed in the next post.

Was just looking through your thread as I am looking at buying a 4th gen, and saw the pictures from Kohler Andrea. I camped there years ago. Love it there, and point beach. I lived in Watertown for years until I got really sick and had to move back to wyoming with family. But man do I miss Lake Michigan in the summer. It's a beautiful place

wisconsin is definitely beautiful,and a sportsman's dream! not so much for off roaders though hahah my next trip planned is heading outntowards the dells and going to devils lake!

Yeah we used to go to devils lake a lot. I never got to the dells unfortunately. Also wanted to see door county and the north woods. I spent pretty much all my weekends outdoors there. Just watch for ticks! Lyme disease is bad in Wisconsin and has basically ruined the past two + years of my life

thanks guys, slowly but surely its coming along...

im really torn on the type of roof rack to get theres a ton of options but for the price and quality I'm thinking prinsu designs which CBI took over now i think. frontrunner looks good to but way to pricey.

I started looking into tire carriers i always see all these guys on instagram wheeling their trucks with no spare and just think wtf are they thinking haha

this is where i really miss having a pickup with a bed hahah

the simplicity of the knucklebone tire carrier is calling my name, the thing i really don't like about it is that it totally eliminates my receiver if I'm ever going to need to use it on the trail.

i do like the hitch gate as well but i hate how far it sticks out from the truck.

For now i think this will do, I just haven't pulled the trigger yet.

Have you seen the Hitchgate Solo? It seems much lower profile and they offer a high-clearance version. It's about halfway between the cost of a regular Hitchgate and the Knucklebone.

no i haven't, I'm going to have to take a look and see what its all about, it definitely sounds like a solid option and pretty much fits the bill for what I'm looking for.

Sometimes I really crack myself up, I went to the local pick a part looking for some spare cv's and came out with a sport hood from an 06 instead....

Started working as soon as i got home it took me about an hour to swap the grill and get it mounted up to my truck.

I think this looks WAY better! Hood scoop ftw!
