My beagle will be 13 in October, and I have been watching him slowly slide downhill for the past year. I dread when that day will arrive and am just trying to make sure he has some quality of life to enjoy. I feel your pain.

lost my best boy one year ago today. it hasn't been the same since, and it never will.

I have 2 other Beagles, one of which is his half brother- Floyd. He's having a hard time with this. Floyd just stares at the door and curls up on the landing of the steps (Chuck's spot).

Thank you very much- one of these days I'm gonna call you...!

Thanks to everyone else too! Charlie was cremated and I received the ashes back yesterday. Our Vet was wonderful through this entire process, very thankful for that.

Could not have said that better! We just went through the one year anniversary of the loss of our little Pug. Never was a small dog kind of guy but that little punk stole my heart.

The months that followed we watched our Lab mourn his loss as well. I still see her look for him even after a year. No one will ever take his place but I think the high energy and welcome distraction of our rescue pittie mix has helped us all.

I still miss my boy cuddling up during football season and a good episode of Cops. He would hear that intro song, wake up, and watch the show. Always amazed me how much he loved Cops.

N-Fab side step install- Rocker panel trimmed: HOW-TO


Kraeken sold me his extra set of N-Fab bars for a crackin' deal (bad pun, I know) and I installed them today. Many members here on T4R have installed these and either cut the rockers, fabbed spacers, or painted the exposed area where the rockers were removed. After reviewing all the threads (I know how to use search) I still had some questions, and honestly it scared the heck out of me to think of cutting these rocker panels up! But, what the hell, I did it anyway.
I figured I would post a quick writeup for those on the fence...


Some background on the N-fabs. They are marketed as "TE Only", because the SR5/LE rocker panels get in the way. The spacers that are available from RiDE are nice, but the steps hang way too low for my tastes. I decided to mount them directly to the vehicle, and cut the rocker panel for a more finished look. They tuck up nicely under the doors. These steps are very high quality, and strong. They are NOT rockrails, but hey, if I ever decide to go offroad, 5 bolts per side and they are off...

Extreme boredom caused me to drill more holes in my bumper again...

I've had these sealed LED's in my toolbox forever so I figured I would put 'em to use.

They are actually really bright and totally weatherproof too. Wired to illuminate with parking/headlights.
