Was in the glove box. Says SXM is on there. Subscription require of course. The sales guys at the dealership had no clue. Said they would ask service.... but I know I don't have it since the shark fin isn't there. Still wondering why its on the sticker if its not installed.
Another thing they said was on it was the Toyota Entune system. Which apparently you have to have a nav system to use...
I forgot to tell you about where the truck came from too... its from CA not TX.. so that's not the reason either... My sales guy is supposed to talk to service today and get back with me. I'll let you know.
Unfortunately for us consumers, the Toyota legal minds always make sure the company is covered in these instances.
In my 2008 T4R printed brochure it says at the bottom of the inside back cover, "All information presented herein is based on data available at the time of printing, is subject to change without notice and pertains specifically to mainland U.S.A. vehicles only." I imagine the website has a similar disclaimer somewhere.
I don't know that it will make any difference other than give you some satisfaction, but you might file a complaint on the NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation website against Gulf States Toyota for misleading advertising. About the best they can do is order GST to remove references to XM radio on the window stickers.
View and file complaints with NHTSA ODI here
So calling Toyota corporate to complain won't do any good? Its stupid that they put it on the sticker and its not there. Did they advertise Entune to any of you other 2014 models as well? Which you can't get unless you have the nav screen.
HwyChile did you notice how your window sticker was describing SXM differently than the other guy who posted his window sticker?

His said something different about the XM..? i'm thinking that they're all built to accept it.. a receptical port or whatever (XM Ready) so they all say the part you showed in your pic. then if you actually have it, it's listed under options like the other guy who posted his picture and it reads different than what your pic shows.
just a thought/idea i saw from reading the thread.
I'm not sure of everything it does, but I know you download an app on your smart phone. There are different apps on the truck itself. Looked/sounded pretty cool... but it wasn't available on my model. They just had a flier in the car that was explaining it. Which is dumb advertising to me....
Yea see the guy tried to show me how it worked. You have to register online and it wasn't accepting my VIN when i tried. So I'm not sure whats going on.
