Any clue what this plastic box is?

So I pulled out the third row of seats. I was moving the wireless key transmitter to inside the plastic/on the right side and noticed a hole in the body. Inside was some kind of plastic box - almost looks like the top of a first aid kit box. I don't see any way to access it, but I'm really curious as to what it might be. Thanks!

Your talking about the white plastic thing?It's either a vent or a drain as it had me wondering too. It has a thin black rubber flapper that opens outward and comes out under the rear plastic bumper cover. I figured they were vents to keep air circulating as the drivers side has an identical one. Air in thru the front vents and out these when the windows are up.
Here is a pic with the bumper cover removed and you can see where it comes out.....

Air has to go somewhere. If all doors and windows are closed except the back hatch and you go to close the back hatch you couldn't do it without air being displaced and vented to the outside. Good pics Harper!

1engineer, you are exactly right ... air has to be displaced somewhere. But, it is not just for the back hatch. The vent is simply to allow air inside the cabin to be vented out during an increase in pressure in the cabin (i.e. closing a door with all the windows closed).

Yep just used hatch as example.
