Any CO Springs locals feel like hitting a trail on Monday?

Basically as the title states! I am thinking about heading up the hills and getting the truck a bit dirty on Monday. Nothing huge or crazy, just looking for a fellow runner to head out with (bad things happen when you wheel alone). Particularly, I would like to try to summit Almagre (Mt. Baldy) if the trail will allow it.

I would love to come, but have to work. Though with your setup (OME & Duratracs) you could autopilot up that thing. I drove to the top on my stock suspension and tires back in Early July; so, if you don't find someone to go with don't count it out. Either way have fun.

Yeah, the terrain has never been what stops me, just the washouts on the trail. last time I attempted it, the trail was washed out and a bit to narrow in places, plus it still had snow in spots. Just made me nervous...a truck this expensive rolling 1000+ feet down the side of a mountain doesn't sound like fun to me, especially it 'm in it. If I air down, its a lot easier going, but I don't have on board air yet so I try to hold off on that unless absolutely necessary.

Cheers. Any other takers out there??? :bigok:

What time you thinking on heading out? I might be able to swing it

Didn't really have a plan set in stone. Probably mid to late morning, just to do a few hours up in the hills. I'm used to waking up at 0330 for work haha so I am good for just about any time. Wife's working a long day that day and won't be home until around 6pm, so I don't really have any time constraints
