Any ideas on how to get this off?

4 pictures, the first two are for reference to where the 3rd and 4th are zoomed in on. Any clue how to get these off? Drill it? Cut sideways?

If I am looking at these pics correctly you should be able to drill those plastic pop rivets out.

I would try cutting it diagonal pliers or get a Dremel with a cut off wheel grind it down/off.

Drilling it is possible, if you use a drill bit that's larger than the melted plastic rivet. But you would have to be carefull not to drill too far and make it a through and through to the other side.

I was thinking the same thing at first. Maybe I'll try the dremel first. Probably safer.

I always get a drill bit about as big as the whole plastic rivet and let it spin a couple times and it usually pops the whole cover right off in 3-4 turns, then I drill a small hole in the center and use small sheet metal or wood screws to reattach.

Or you can use a razor scraper and scrape the head right off and the plastic rivet should fall right through.

Glad to help, usually you don't even have to drill a hole actually because they are usually hollow anyway.

Kyle, I am assuming this has to do with the rear tweeters? Did you get them installed and how do they look if so?

Actually, no. I wish it was though. Next time I go to toyota for an oil filter I'll order two of those brackets that hold the front ones in place, and some of the front screens. Once I have those I'll tackle the rear tweeters. Since I haven't been able to utilize the JBL amp thus far, I plan to wire them in-line with the rears (just like how the front is stock).

This particular project is just a little paint work to spruce up the inside. I'll be posting a thread about it starting tomorrow I think. It's going to take a little while though, just because I have school to tend to, and because the way I am painting, it's going to take awhile (but it's MUCH cheaper than the body shop!).
