.....
Now some people might blast me, ....
BUT in my 40s now I actually prefer ATs and next time I am slapping on tires I want to try the more mild ATs like perhaps the Toyo. I have Fun Countrys now and they are ok, but I am sure Toyos will be quieter and maybe better mpg. The new BFG ATs look nice too. Lots of options.
Mud tires look so bad a$$...and I still rubber neck when a nice lifted 4x4 with mud tires passes me, and the sound of their tires gives me a good smile. But these days I want a mild AT that lasts twice as long, is better on the highway, in the rain, and the snow...and can still do rocks and light mud quite well.
....
Could not have stated it better if I tried.
I don't mud bog every weekend, like a quiet tire and don't do anything I could possibly need a lift kit for.
Give me smooth and comfy with the capability to offroad occasionally and I am happy. ;-)
Thanks...and like your signature about gun control. I see you are in Colorado, that is where I wanted to move next as gun laws in California are horrendous. I am thinking the 5 year plan, 5 more here and then move to Colorado where I can wheel, hunt, shoot, and actually own property I will never
Let me tell you about Colorado:
It's ugly. Ultra Liberal. Uneducated. Pot smoking hippies. Snows 300 days a year. LOL
All bullshit.
Colorado is the kind of place (native speaking here) we don't talk about because so many people come here and go "Shit. This is unreal". Little slice of heaven quite honestly. If you make it out here, I have a gun range that includes 20Ft to 1000ft berms. We'll go blow some shit up. ;-)
...
yes I hear the whole deal that Colorado is full of Californians now and its terrible, and cost of living skyrocketing too. But I have friends from various aspects of my life that live there and LOVE IT still. ...
I was being facetious about the ugly, ultra-liberal,pot-smoking thing.
Yes, we are getting more crowded. Yes, pot is legal here (not that it really matters because people are going to smoke pot whether legal or not). Traffic has gotten worse, but home values have doubled in 10 years so there is good with the bad.
I love Colorado and have lived here my whole life.
I will argue with people that more songs have been written about Colorado than any other state short of Cali.
Texas might have something to say about that.
It seems I have seen one or two on here but after an hour of searching I cannot find em! My Google-Fu needs work
Anyway, I have a 2011 stock Trail Edition and am needing tires pretty quick. I dont want to do the lift right away but might do it if I cant find what I'm looking for.
Does anybody have a lifted 4Runner and run the 265's? Does this look stupid? I really want to end up with 255's vs 285's in the future but have not ruled out just going with the 265's in a ST Maxx
Thanks and I apologize if I should have found this via search, I promise I tried

Bump, hahaha! Ok so my thoughts are OME 3", stock tires 265/70R17 (Wild Peak AT3W), & Spidertrax 1.25. Anybody have something like this or suggestions.
Hi I'm new here and hopefully will be getting lifted this weekend....anyone installed a toytec 3 inch spacer kit?
