Hey guys, lost track of the actual dates you guys are talking about right now. I'm still in Canada but have returned from the boonies of northern Ontario and am at a hotel in Niagra until Saturday. I have a long day on the road but would love to make it out this Sunday AM (July 10) if that's what you guys are talking about!

Yep we are talking about this weekend. So far looks like 3 guys can only do Sunday AM July 10, so let's plan on that. Do you guys have a preference on meeting time/place or would 11:00AM at Bo's on Sunday work?

Sunday it is! 11am sounds great, that way I don't have to get up much before 8 to meet up with my buddy and get going.
I guess no camping on saturday......what mods can I do on saturday?if only I had the time to put on my lift...one day I'll get around to it!
How about we take your boat out on Saturday instead??? Just kidding (although that'd be awesome). I may still camp Saturday night; just need to talk to my brother and see what he wants to do.

jpless - Ouch! Boat are freakin' expensive and I hope it doesn't cut into your lift budget.

yea, thanks guys! whatever it is will dip into my budget. The lift is already in storage, I just need time and confidence to install.
After the tentative camping discussion yesterday, my gf went ahead and made plans for the weekend so I got nothing to do on Saturday either if jonsey or anyone else wants to go on sat and camp, then meet the rest of the guys on Sun. Just a thought.
OOOOOR, if you don't want to camp it, I work at Marriott Corporate and get great room rates. I'm seeing 35/night at the fairfields nearby. One is off 81 right when you get off of 66 (20 min from Bo's without going past it, if taking 66->81). We could head back there after a Sat trip or meet there Sat night to make the morning drive easier. I can get 3 rooms at that price.

I just talked to my brother, and here's what we are thinking about doing:
Leaving mid-afternoon Saturday from DC and heading down past Peter's Mill to Harrisonburg. Heading west from Harrisonburg to Blue Hole, which is a pretty popular mountain stream swimming hole (water is deep enough to jump off some fairly tall rocks into the water). Provided I don't break my neck, we'll probably head up Flagpole Knob or Second Mountain and camp in GWNF.
We'll get up Sunday AM, break camp, and head up to meet everyone at Bo's in Edinburg.

I'll join you on your saturday trip. I live next to montgomery mall and can you meet you in dc or something and head out together? It all sounds like a plan to me. I have my HUUUGE tent though, so either you guys are welcome to join me in it or I might have to bring some extra stuff to put in it haha.
how big's your tent? I've got my 8-person one and a queen size mattress (need to go buy a pump for it though). it's got a big footprint and I've never been to gwnf so I'm not sure how big the campsites are, any thoughts?
as far as future runs go, definitely! The great discount is more when I'm there. If I wasn't coming, the price would be 60-70 bucks if I send someone going a discount form with their name on it. Without the discount, they're showing 100-130. AWESOME DISCOUNTS
so invite me on trips My policy is not to give out discount forms unless I've met the person before because my job is on the line. If someone using my discount form does something bad, I could end up getting fired.
keep in mind, i have no real off-road mods, just bigger tires. since it'll be my first time taking this t4r off-road I'll probably be extra cautious

Everyone keep in mind the weekends of Oct 15th & 22nd. I'm for sure going to be heading out to GWNF area for some camping and wheeling.

Yesterday I had a sweet truck work day though; fixed my leaking cv boot and regreased the joint, installed HID fogs, and set them to work independent of the normal lights (fog light mod). All in all went smooth

yea, that was awesome! I'll find some time this week to go through my pics and convert from RAW to JPG and upload them. Will also sift through the nearly 2 hours of video and try and put something together and post up a link. I'll try to get around to it as soon as I can.
