Wow I had no idea how close we were to the end of this month. I have to work this weekend and well next weekend is thanksgiving weekend so many people may be out of time. But If nothing comes up I would be down for a day trip on saturday maybe...

Looks great! Some lift and leveling makes it look like a different truck and the tires really round it out!

If there are some people that want to make it an overnight thing by all means go for it. I wish I could but I just don't have the time right now. Ill be extremely lucky if I can get a day trip in.

Well for us Potts MT. Would be the closest, but I know a lot of you are from NOVA so GWNF or I forget the name of the place but it is out toward Charlottesville I think... those may be a little more even as far as the driving goes. I really want to go to flag pole knob in GWNF but I also want to camp it. Wheel all day and finish off at the top of the knob, camp, and wheel out the next day. But that may have to be in the spring.

I believe Shoe Creek is slightly SW of Charlottesville, been wanting to check it out. Shame I'll be in Cville tomorrow night for work but no spare time to explore.
We are getting to the point where camping on Flagpole is going to be COLD. I don't mind but others (and significant others) might. Still, I am usually up for getting out there.

Has anyone been to Shoe Creek? I wouldn't want to go with out someone who knows the trail. Yeah I think I will wait til spring to camp Flagpole. Again where ever we go I will only be able to do the one day. I am still trying to talk the wife into going so she can meet a few people and we can all do some camping another time. She is iffy about camping with people she has never met before. I guess its a valid concern.
So anyway whatever works best GWNF or Shoe Creek I am in for the day.

I am shooting for next Saturday. I have to work this weekend. And then we can do the winch and lights the following weekend, if that works for you?

I'm open for the GW Forest or nearby area, anything within 2-3 hours of Northern VA for a day trip and I might be down for camping, I just need to see when I have to work Sunday.

How long do you think you'll be tied up? If it's not going to be too cold we could turn it into a camping trip.
We could go to Little Fort Campground to start off and do some of the GW Forest trails, or Shoe Creek. I just want to get my wheels dirty.
