It's a little rough for most people and I have had to use the winch on the main trail before. Just depends on how wet it is.

32"s and no locker it can be challenging.

35"s and locked - not much of a challenge

Its only a seven mile trail, but it takes several hours to run it.

There are a bunch of dirt roads to run also. Bald mountain, hall road, Broad run. Craig county is full of government roads.

I am off most Sundays. Be glad to show anyone around..

I guess I will just call it then. I knew it was a long shot being a holiday weekend and all. We will make it work some other time.
 
Pretty new to this forum, but I would love to do an easy trail if you guys ever do that. I'm also new to 4x4's, so I've got a lot to learn. The key being that I want to learn. I'm in the NOVA area, so if anyone does something within a few hours of there, I'm down for it. Just let me know. I'll be watching this forum to see if anything comes up.

Also, I've only got a stock V6 right now, so keep that in mind. I'd like to upgrade stuff, but I don't know what to do yet. Hopefully, I'll meet some of you guys in the near future.
 
Greenmonk - Welcome! Glad to have someone else around. Some if us are also still pretty new so the trails that we have been trying to plan trips for have been pretty stock friendly (I just got my hi-lift this week :-)). If you are serious about going on a trail ride it would be great if you could get a CB radio so everyone can talk on the trails. Ksunami44 has a pretty good budget build you could copy for under $150.

Anyone interested in next week?
 
Welcome Greenmonk, there are a lot of threads filled with tons of info so you came to the right place to learn.

I unfortunately have to work this coming weekend so I wont be able to make it out. And my schedule looks pretty crazy until after Christmas so I guess I will have to shoot for some time next year.

Sorry, haven't logged on in a while. If that was a Monday then, Yes. Most Mondays I'm either towing a bass boat or hauling kayaks to some stretch of water. Gotta have some R&R!

I bet you have with that sick lift and new tires! you've definitely surpassed me now! I've been dying to go too ever since my fj swap but I'm headed to the skins game again on sunday with a bunch of people.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! You know they are going to lose to the Patriots so you might as well as come wheeling and have some fun. :driving:

Next time we go wheeling I'm hoping we can do a FJ bilsteins / OME comparison. Load both cars up with the same people and doing some driving off / on road to compare the ride.
