Anybody seen this?

Hey all,

Climbed under the TE today (2011 250 miles) and was doing the wheel well liner cut and pull to clear the way for the 285/70r17 tires (Thanks Harper7),
I have a Toytec Ultimate lift on her.

I look at the suspension and see this on both sides:

Was this done for the lift, or is this natural? I see two large areas of rust (see pic) and its in the same place on both sides...

Thanks in Advance! If this is a problem I want to get her back to the dealer asap.

I got them on mine too. It probably was an area that the factory didnt paint or protect, hence the rust.

Mine has them also.
Foundry pours formed metal, powder coats, and then machines holes, contact points and runners.
