Anyone Done Full Carpet Replacement?

Several years ago, I ordered a molded, carpet replacement off the internet. I had to pull the seats (along with center console and so forth) and it took me about a day to get the old carpet out and the new carpet in.

Anyone else done this? If so, how long ago and how has your "replacement carpet" held up? Thanks for any input!

Used these guys, I got samples from both stock interiors and automovtiveinteriors I think at the time I just pick d the cheaper one. Pretty sure quality seemed about the same. Did it last fall.
 
I also just replaced mine. Got it from OC auto carpets as well. Be aware that the colors they are touting as OEM colors are not.

I ordered the "medium oak" that they said was a factory color and it was nowhere close. How do I know? I had bought a brand new set of old stock floor mats in the original oak color.

I had to return the carpet and ask for all of the swatches in the oak range, match up the correct color and then order the carpet again.

Be aware!

But the carpet itself is great! I recommend the mass backing for the extra money. well worth it!

What color did you end up going with? The Essex version's "beige" looks like a close match to the stock oak from my monitor, but I'd be interested in the results of your swatch comparison.

I used stock interiors stuff too,with the mass backing. Be aware with mass backing it's thicker than stock so a bit more work in the corners and curves. Nice stuff though, holding up well!

Their tan color (I don't recall their name for it) was lighter in person than it looked online. Also, the original carpet was waaay funkier than I thought-once I pulled it out I saw some original color areas that had been protected by seasts/trim etc. My new replacement stuff ended up being quite a bit lighter than what I took out, but close enough it doesn't bother me.

Took me a day, and my wrists were pretty pissed off at me by the time I finished. Worth it though!
 
I just did this yesterday... was a bit of a ***** and took about 8 hrs with some food and beer in between. Few things I did/learned...

put all bolts back in then used them as a guide for holes later
Initially I used old carpet as reference to cut a few holes... small hole to put over the e-brake, a small slit where the shifter console starts roughly and circle for blower below pass seat (i think this is only for rear climate)
I then laid the carpet inside, made sure it was centered, then started shaping the middle around e-brake etc.
Used the bolts below to make a small hole, picked up carpet to take out the bolt, then bolted carpet in with that bolt and a big washer (luckily I had some laying around). This really helped shape it well and stretch it in place.
I left the backs of my back seats alone but may mess with that some day.
I also left the rear wheel arches because they’re molded rubber whereas what I got from stock interiors was just flat carpet (need to contact them about that as it may be a mistake)
Definitely use some chalk instead of sharpie as it will make things easier to mark.

Oh and don’t stick a sharp blade halfway into your pinkie
