I used to for a few years. My family owns a few dealerships but I quickly realized that life wasn't for me.

Could somebody in the know (employee) please tell us when the 6th generation 4runner comes out. Will it be 2020 or 2021? Any info at all ? and lets hope it doesn't have the Tacoma's engine/trans. Thanks

I worked for TEMA- Corp for many years

Still have many friends there. Most have moved to Plano. I left just before the merge with Sales and "Toyota One". I still talk to a lot of the Japanese. I'm a popular stop when they come to the US. I also have a firearms business and take them shooting machine guns and other fun toys.

So what's the dealio w/ the new dealership going up next to the Plano HQ? Is it a corporate dealership or a franchise dealership? Will it be open to the public?

Thanks.

One of the mechanics from my store actually just moved to Plano to work at that dealership. it will be public

My understanding is that it’s an extension and/or replacement for the current Toyota of Plano dealership. It will be open to the public and bybtheblooks of it, it will be MASSIVE.

I hadn't driven that direction in a while and I noticed it this past weekend when I went to pick up some furniture at Nebraska Furniture Mart. It looks pretty massive w/ a parking garage (for inventory?).

With it being next door to the HQ, I hope it's a dealer service dept that I can trust to service my 4R.

Any idea of when it'll be open?

Toyota of Plano seems to have a good track record. Longo Toyota in Prosper has been good to my gf, she has a Camry. I would expect good service from them. With it being right here the last thing you want is to suck at providing service.

My assumption is the garage is for inventory as well. Although we could use some extra employee parking at HQ.

Not sure when it’ll open

New guy here. I'm a back-counter parts counterman for Auburn Toyota in NorCal. Been there 17 years. It's helped keep my '88 Runner in good shape over the years.

Sorry man, no dice. I ran the number on Dealer Daily, and I see it's long gone.

I feel your pain; I'm a 17 year parts guy, and I can't find a 52011-89111 bumper bracket to save my life!

Ah I found one in NH and ordered it yesterday. I was told it was the last one in the country and it took some serious digging. They apparently ordered it for one of their techs, had it on the shelf, he never paid, they got tired of looking at it and sold it to me. I guess I was in the right place at the right time. Was more asking for others since I see people looking for them all the time.
