Anyone ever replace the rear mount on the front diff?

I’m getting ready to put another front diff in, planning to replace the two front bushings but wondering if anyone has ever bothered to replace the rear mount with the threaded stud in it? It’s around $70, I never hear anyone talk about replacing it, the current one seems ok but the rubber bushing is old so maybe a new one would be an improvement

I replaced mine with new ones from Toyota, if your going to be that far down IMO there is no reason not to replace them.

the durobump guy made a replacement kit, I have never used it but his stuff is solid quality. I think the only rub is you will need to use fire and explosives to get the old bushing out. also drinking beer improves the experience.

Thanks, I’ve ordered the durobumps kit but I’m interested in the rear mount that has a threaded stud in it, only available from Toyota and bolts to the diff

For what it's worth I've asked some other user this question a year or so ago and they told me something along the lines of "it was a complete b*tch to get at and remove, definitely not fun". I personally didn't dive any deeper once I found out it wasn't as easy as the front two

I imagine it would be nearly impossible with the diff in the vehicle, the one I’d be doing it on is currently sitting on the floor of my garage though so that might make it easier. I might skip this though because I’ve never heard of anyone having problems with that bushing.

oh right sorry I got it

41.60$ with probably $30 shipping... the one with the very strange big weird nut/bolt thing.

yea even with the body off the truck it kind of sucked getting that thing all lined up and in the correct location. you will definitely have to jack the engine/transmission up a bit to get it in. but then again if your diff is out... thinking putting it in first or even bolted on when you do the heave ho and lift the diff into place? maybe be a non issue?
