Anyone Ever Tried "The Juice Box"?

I was checking out ebay, came across this thing called "The Juice Box". It's supposed to add 12-20 HP.

The dude's feedback is pretty solid, was wondering if anyone had picked this up and noticed a difference? And if you did, how easy was the install?

An idea

Rather than bash it outright , as my instict tells me this is just dumb, and an exact copy of the dumb air intake resistor trick, someone should buy it.

BUT have your truck output tested on a dyno first!! Then , install the gizmo, and dyno again. Compare the numbers , is there anykind of change in HP at all??? It has to be proven, and I have NEVER seen any real numbers taken from scientific measurement, only the claims of increased HP with no other penalty.

Wouldn't Toyota bother adding such a device if they could gain HP without a penaly?

I love the ads that are so vague and tell you nothing about how it does anything. Thats the first tip off that the product is worthless...

Agreed with both of you guys. It doesn't seem very trustworthy, especially when you factor in that they didn't even spell transmission right.

The only reason I even sort of want to believe it is the nice ammount of feedback he got.

I have seen so many different verion of the same POS.

Buy one open the box and you will find a little resistor in it. You can go to Radio Shack and build the same thing for $3.

All it does is to try and trick your ECU in making the mixture richer. Works on all Toyotas, there is no diffeence between new V8 and old 4 banger?????? Hooks up to either MAF or Coolant temp sensor hmmmm?????

Save yourself $25 and just add a resistor into the existing wire for either MAF or temp, or do both 40HP YYYEEEEEHHHHHHAAAAAA

Please stay away from products like these, it is highly likely that it will adversily affect your engine.

YES IT'S TRUE!!!

My TRD window stickers give me AT LEAST 15HP per sticker, for a total gain of 30HP!! This blows away a cheesy resistor! I calculate that I paid about 60 cents per HP!! WOW what a bargian. And so easy too, a lot easier than bolting anything on or wiring.

If in the future, if I decide I want to increase the sick HP madness of my SUV and risk catastrophic rollover, I will add more stickers. Until then I am afraid to do so because I fear the power of the beast!!:driving:

Those products and ones like the Tornado are aimed at people that really don't know much about cars and want to believe the HP claims but any mechanic or knows how cars work know those things can't promise the HP they say.

Those people do sell alot of those products and since they don't harm anything on your car you really don't hear anything negative about them so they continue to sell since like PT Barnum said "they's a sucker born everyday".
