Anyone every seen these wheels on a 4Runner (FJ 18" ENKEI)...

So I finally picked up a used set of 285/60/18 Zeons from a buddy and had these mounted up a few days ago. I decided to keep them silver as it looks great on the truck! Who knows, I may still paint them later if I get bored.

Between my lift and the +15mm offset of the wheels, I have zero rubbing at full turn and no contact on the UCA, Swaybar, etc. Pictures will be up later today.

Yea, they look great. The wider tires/offset totally changed the look.

And no, the (potential)problems are still there :redbrick:. I havent had time to take it back apart being so busy and I'm flying out this weekend again. I love the look but it really just needs to be about 1" lower in the front. At this height, my CVs, upper and lower ball joints are on limited time.

Thanks man. For me, it's the perfect offset. Just barely enough to clear 285s and sit flush with the fenders but not so much that it pushes the tires way outside the wheel wells.

So...its finally done...one wheel anyway. I had an idea to leave the outer ring silver or leave the dimples silver as I like the beadlock look. Well, after thinking about my idea further, I decided that anything besides all black would look crappy on these wheels. I'll just wait and get some sim locks down the road (MT Classics or Robby Gordins...mmmm).

Anyway, I just got the rear wheel painted and back on the truck. I haven't really decided if I like the look yet. As of now, im thinking it looks kind of cheap but I will wait to get it out in the sun tomorrow before I decide to rip it off or paint the others.

When I painted my sport ed. spare, the finish was silky smooth and had a tiny bit of shine on it...just enough IMO. However, these wheels have turned out rough and more flat, almost like spray on bed liner both times i've painted them. They have a rough texture to the touch. I'm thinking it may be due to the different finishes??. Here are the pics....

At first I liked the black, but now seeing it on the truck I don't like it. The flat color does make it look cheap. The silver is shiny as is your truck and the contrast with the silver rims and black paint look better IMO.

Thanks for the comments guys. Unfortunately for me and my wallet, my mind changes weekly on what I like/want to do with the 4runner. Ha. I liked it more when I was painting them but less so after.

It does look a lot better in the sun though as the flat black plasti dip has a very light black color/gray color so there is significant contrast in comparison to the glossy black. It also matches my tubes steps. I'm leaving it on for now until I tires of the look then I'll just peel it off...that's the beauty of plasti dip.

Just wanted to update with some better pictures taken outdoors. It looks better in person as the flat black really contrasts the gloss black. The pictures were taken during overcast conditions but it looks even better in the sun.

You cant see the wheels in this pic but I love this shot.
