Anyone gone with an Old Man Emu OME lift?

I believe 44psi was the optimum pressure. Personally I run at 40 because I like my teeth, but below that and my millage starts to drop noticeably.

What size tires are people using with the OME lift/suspension? I generally like the look and snow/mud performance of a narrower tire (255/75r17) at 32" but it seems like most are using 285's to get a 33. If using the 285's are there any other mods necessary to fit the tire in? Wonder if 255's would look right after my OME install. Thoughts?

I am running 285's with the OME kit. Only thing I had to do was take off the front mud flaps.

Check out Allen Turner (IG: rockcreekoverland). He had 255's with the same lift and just recently replaced then with 285s. You should be able to find pics of both on his Instagram.

As you said, most are running 285's. I have seen a few around here with 255's and they look good to me. I know there are a few 255 threads with pics around here somewhere. I don't have a lift so I would not be able to comment on what they look like in person.

Planning on getting the 3in lift Ome from toytec
884 light front
Light supeflex rear coil
60020 rear shock(super flex coil)

OME full suspension -- Click here for details

I was wondering since I have KDSS Will I need a rear track bar since it's more than a 2" lift?

And will I need uca? I heard people 4Runner have terrible stealing while driving with a 3in lift without uca.

OME installed on 5th gen SR5 in march 2017

I put on the OME 2884 springs in the front (390MM) and 889s in the rear (390MM) today and it took my 2011 SR5 up 2.75" in the front and 3" in the rear. I have BFG K2O2s 275/70/17 with stock wheels and they rubbed the front wheel well with the steering at full turn and now they rub the back of the wheel well with the lift. Neither is very bad, so I am going to take the razor blade and trim the plastic on the rear of the wheel well.

I previously had 265/70/17 (stock tires) and they rubbed the front wheel well. Go figure.......

I like the lift, my wife, not so much, so I might be going to 2883 springs in the front (370MM) and 895e in the rear (375MM) I am running the OME nitrocharger sport shocks. I didn't do a diff drop and it doesn;t look like i need one, but i will check in a few weeks. I did put on light racing UCAs and the alignment came out fine.

The vehicle now drives like a truck - no more nose dive into the concrete on stops, or the bouncing when going down my curb, etc. Again, i like that, my wife liked the "boat like sensation".

I got 884s in the front and 889s in the rear. Going camping in a couple weeks and will check out the height differences loaded. Never bothered to check before.. just know that unloaded I sit fairly raked.

These are the OME parts I want to use for my lift. Did I leave anything out? Recommend adding an UCA? Could I do without an UCA? I still need to verify if I need a trim packer or 10mm spacer to level the front driver side. Is the Front Diff drop kit necessary?

(2) OME 884 front coils
(2) OME 889 rear coils
(2) OME 90010 front shocks
(2) OME 60080 rear shocks
(1) OME trim packer for driver front suspension, OME95PF5
(1) front differential drop kit

We installed the Medium Coils for the front and the Heavy for the rears on my wife's 4Runner. I don't remember the coil numbers. They have been on now for about a half of a year I didn't take measurements of the lift but it hasn't settled much. She has full budbuilt skids and a fridge/slide out in the back.

We did get new UCAs. I have heavy OMEs all around on my FJ and I went without UCAs for about 2 years. The UCA helps out hugely with tracking but not 100% needed. We went with it because we knew we would get it eventually.

Her vehicle stock tires no lift or skids only rock rails.

Day 2 of the lift just put on the new tires.

A few months after the install with skids, and fridge.

She likes the ride, its a bit rough. We installed the medium fronts because we plan on installing a plate bumper with a winch in the future. I haven't heard and complaints and it handles well off road with the OME. We knew that heavy rears will be stiff but we were planing on the fridge w/ slide out from the start she also keeps a socket set along with other tools for any repairs probably around 200 lbs of stuff always in the back. She will also take the trailer occasionally.

OME 3" lift 884/889 with diff drop and SPC upper control arms. BFG 285/70/17 K02 on factory wheels. Nose dive and body roll are pretty much eliminated. It rides firmer but not harsh. I am happy with it.

Just looking for opinions/reviews on this lift. I've really liked what I've seen and read about OME stuff on other vehicles. Just wanted to know how it was on the t4r. Haven't been able to find much info so far tho....

I just recently have; Heavy spring upfront and Med on the back. Running on top of BFG Ko2 285/70/17. I had this work done a few weeks ago and road 1300 pavement/highway and tested off road this past weekend in the Blue Ridge Mountains (mostly Fire access roads) and some steep (for my experience level) inclines and decent (got caught in very nasty foggy condition on top of the mountains).

On Thursday a New ARB front Bumper and Winch will be installed as well as SPD UCA's. With the 3" I put it...the Caster is "off-spec" and the driving feels light and "dartie". The nosedive, as compared to the factory shocks is much less but, still there. The roll (left to right) is (IMHO) so different (feels very planted). I was told that because of going heavy upfront (in preparation for the boat anchor I'm about to get installed (front Bumper)) that it will be very "stiff". Not my experience. Not a single passenger has complained yet.

For My use and limited experience/knowledge, I think it was the "right" decision for my use case. I came really close to pulling the trigger on much higher end (ICON stage 5, King Shocks or ARB BP51) suspension systems but, decided that my use case (mostly weekend access to deep hiking trail and some camping) leaned its self to more of an Overlanding "mode" than the "other" use cases; plus this is a daily driver.

So far so good. I'll update my original post once the bumper and UCA's are installed the end of this week and I get to test.

Been debating myself what OME set to get. 4 runner with no roof rack, no winches or new bumpers planned. Off Russ premium keeping it stock.

Looking at the following OME set ups.

884/895e

884/895

885/895

884/889

Also considering going 90016/60086 softer valve shocks compared to 90010/60080 regular valves shocks.

Mudify puts softer valve shoxhs with their standard load 884/895e and 885/895 set up.

I like to keep a little rake, as I hate the look of when the front is, or appears to be, higher than the rear.

Hard time figuring out, cause seems many of the suppliers sell complete OME kits with different set ups.

Well gaVE ARB USA a call. They recommended for a 4 runner with no added bumpers, winches, racks etc the 884/895 set up with regular valved nitro shocks.

If went with 895e rear would level it out more so but run the rush of having the front higher than rear if ever loaded up the rear with gear.

So looks like 884/895 is the way I’ll go.

Front looks higher than the rear. What number spring and shocks did you use?

Could be the camera angle, the front wheel looks bigger than the rear wheel too, am sure that's not the case.

Look at the blinds behind the drivers side view mirror. They angle down also to the right. Not sure what caused that to happen to the picture.
