Anyone into RC monster trucks?

I recently discovered that my all-time favorite toy as a teenager was put back into production. It's a radio controlled monster truck called the Midnight Pumpkin. You buy it as a kit and build it from the ground up, including the differential gearing, suspension, and radio gear.

Anyone that has driven one of these know how much fun it is. It will pop a wheelie and ride it out for at least 5 feet whenever you floor the throttle. It's easy to jump curbs or speed bumps with the oversized rubber tires.

I've always wished that I still had the Midnight Pumpkin from my teenage years, but it was tossed in the garbage unwittingly by my mother after she decided to clean out the attick.

Now that I have another chance, I'm going to build one again.

that looks sweet!! All im working with now is a crashback rc car, which i dont think they make anymore. Its a rc monster truck thats got a rubber shell around it for the body and when you crash into something it smashes up really small but then, SUPRISE! you hit the button on top and it streched back out to normal.

how big is the one your working on, it looks pretty big almost like a powerwheels

I believe it's 1/10 scale and about 16 inches long overall. Not too big and not too small. It will run on the road, grass, dirt, even snow).

I feel like a kid again...lol.

Yeah, definitely not something that a kid could ride!

am more of a car, i still have my team associate RC10 TC4. gotta love all wheel drive with a few mods. too bad i haven't got back to it in a long while. race track nearby went shut for good.
