Anyone Keep Gobi Racks in Stock???

Makes me think it was probably an order that a customer backed out of rather than something they stock.

No, they placed a large order of racks and have several in stock. I even had the option to get mine with the 40" light bar or multi-light setup. If you call or message them, they will provide the details.

My guess is that they do not have them on the website because the stock likely doesn't last long, and we all know how unreliable/unpredictable Gobi can be in terms of delivery.

I reached out to them via email and was quoted $1695 +shipping for a Stealth rack with rise for 40" lightbar, wind deflector, moonroof cutout insert, ladder, cross bars and new hatch struts.

Basically looks to be +$100 over Gobi list, but without the 6 month wait.

Awaiting response requesting shipping quote and lead time.

Gobi’s $1595 price doesn’t include the sunroof insert or the new hatch struts, at least not as listed on the Gobi website. Those are $180 and $110, respectively, so that rack would be $1885 from Gobi, but with free shipping. Shipping through Chi-Town was $200 to me in Louisiana (delivered to a commercial address). When I talked with Chi-Town yesterday, they had the rack you want in stock.
 
Dont mean to hi-jack the thread, but i bought a Gobi back on Cyber-Monday. After waiting 16 weeks of silence and countless ignored emails and calls, I ended up going with FrontRunner. I cant knock the product - looks really clean and is made with good quality (my bro has one). BUT the customer service is HORRENDOUS. If you are looking for something in stock with AWESOME, responsive customer service, hit up FrontRunner. Different look from the Gobi but more bad ass because you can accessorize :mod: Just a thought. Either way, if you can get your hands on a Gobi without waiting, you wont be disappointed.

No communication within 10 days??? Try NO communication for 14 weeks. Communications within the first month would have been peaches and cream. haha

Not looking for communication, just order confirmation which I would expect to be automated. Why would they need to talk to me about a ladder anyway? So weird.

Damn, i might do the 6 months wait and saved +$300, shipping to seattle probably more than $200

See my post above. Chi-Town gives you the sunroof insert ($180) and hatch struts ($110), which I don’t think are included in Gobi’s $1,595 price. So the cost difference for me was minimal. Obviously if you don’t want the sunroof insert or the struts, the cost analysis changes a little. For me, it would’ve been worth $300 just to not have to deal with Gobi directly.

This is pretty strange. I got a phone call from Gobi literally the Friday afternoon that I placed my order from them and then a confirmation email shortly after that.

Yeah, I'm not sure what you could do if you've called them and emailed them with no response. Only thing I can think of that's kind of risky is placing an order through their website and wait for them to call you to confirm it and then bring up the fact that you tried to place an order before.

If you've ordered through them and haven't received any kind of correspondence from them that even remotely looks like a confirmation, I'd run under the assumption that the order didn't go through.

I dont need the sunroof insert, i need the full rack for TRD Pro
