Anyone plastidip the front license plate area on and SR5?

I just brought home 2 cans of plastidip and some frogtape to do a little customization, but I'm unsure of exactly what I want to do. Has anyone plastidipped the handlebar mustache shaped area below the front grill, where the license plate goes? I'm interested to see how it looks with the body colored bumper below it. If anyone has any pictures of this I'd really appreciate it!

Thanks rydr1! I thought I had seen a picture somewhere of that! I went through probably the first 40 pages and last 60 looking, just missed it.

I made a little photoshop mockup of what I plan so far, I'll post pics once I actually do it.

I tired it on mine, but didn't like the way it looked with stock grill. I have the Blizzard Pearl, so it might look much better on yours.

Well, I went ahead and did it. It was getting a little dark as I was finishing so I won't be able to get the best look at it until tomorrow morning, but I gotta say I like the look a lot so far.

Some of the edges didn't come out as clean as I would have liked, and I realized I somehow taped one side slightly different than the other:ybrick:

But this experience gave me the confidence that I'm going to dip some other spots tomorrow! I'll eventually re-dip the mustache, but it looks more than good enough to go a few weeks at least.

That's just the beginning. The best part about plastidip is that it comes off easily if you don't like the way it comes out.

I just taped about an inch and a half around the plate and newspaper beyond that. Then just sprayed about 7 or 8 coats on the whole thing. A few minutes after the final coat I went to remove the tape and newspaper and it started pulling the spray-over off of the body paint so I decided to peel that part off then. Took my dog on a half hour walk and then peeled the letters off. I'm very surprised at how clean it came out.

I'm about to plastidip the rear plate tomorrow but a quick question - what did you do about the keyhole? I don't think I've seen anyone address this.

when i did mine, i took a tooth pick and picked the dip out...not hard at all

I didn't do anything about the keyhole. It would be no problem to just peel it out like mkeegan27 said, but I don't think I will literally ever use the key hole so I left it black.
