Spent a week in CO summer before last doing Imogene and the surrounding trails. Ran the Coopers at 20-25PSI. No issues and seemed to perform great. That's about the extent of the serious wheeling I've done.

Discount Tire just price matched these for me with the current price of Amazon at $159 a tire. Guy even bumped it down to $152 a tire :thumb3: Can't wait to get them on next week.

I have run my coopers over ton's of trails in the Western US and have had zero issues at low PSI even on a wide wheel. The side walls are super stiff so I don't really worry about loosing a bead as easy as some other tires. The coopers really are a short 255 but seem to be a bit wider than mos't 255's as well. My truck has full armor and no roof rack and it still gets close to 18 mpg or better depending on wind so this is also a big plus for long hauls. If I wasn't selling the truck I would buy another set....

Run 255/80 ST Maxx on my 4th gen and have dropped the pressure as low as 15 while running Poughkeepsie gulch and I didn't have any problems. Been all over the southwest with them and they do great all over.

Yes, for my spare. It fits perfectly and does not hang out too much hurting clearance. Has the same diameter as my 285's around 33" so it makes it an excellent spare.

Got them on yesterday! I love them. I didn't check what Discount Tire put the PSI at but they rode really well yesterday. Went to Toyota for my 10k service today and they rode really rough and harsh once I exited the dealership. Unsure if it was just the tire rotation (I feel unlikely because they're only about 50 miles old) or if they filled up some air in it. It was at 40psi when I got home and checked. I'll have to check the spare.
Testing them now at 35psi and it seems good though.

about 12k miles ago i was debating hard between the 255/75 and 255/80s Maxx ST. I ended up going with the 75s due to being c-rated and less weight. I really like them. I have done a lot of highway, aired down off road and non aired down sand driving around here. They've done great. Louder than stocks, of course. BUT, cruising at 65-70 on the highway, i can still manage 20.5mpg for a tank (hand calculated).
Fuel econ and ride area the big ones that kept me from going to the e-rate tires.
THe 75s are about .75" or so taller than the stock tires once mounted, so not huge, but i think they look nice.

I saw your post on Friday...went to amazon, and damned if they weren't $159!
I waited til Saturday to order them...boom.....$224 a tire. LoL.....

That's exactly what happened to me 3 times lol. They actually went down to about $165 on one Sunday and I was so ready and excited to go to Discount and show them 'cause I didn't wanna miss out on the price. Monday morning I woke up to find out someone or a company bought the whole stock 'cause the price was gone again. Such a let down lol.
And actually, towards the end of July when I got back from vacation from the Philippines, I saw them as low as $136 a tire. I wasn't ready to commit to buy and I just went in to make sure they price matched. I didn't realize how good of a price that was then.
Just keep persistently checking like I did. They come back in stock at a lower price fairly fast.

Thanks! It has 2.5" lift settings up front. Sagged a bit due to the bumper. And 2" Toytec spings in the rear.

Thanks. My FJ lost about an inch in height when I added my bumper/winch combo, lol. Adjusting the toytec coil overs was not an enjoyable experience.
I am still on the fence with what lift to go with on my Trail. Might try OME this time around since I am leaning towards no full replacement bumper.

I'm thinking of adding the a heavier spring when I get a winch in the future. Maybe Kings. Not sure how much lift a 700lb spring would give so I'll probably add upper control arms too and be done with it.
I read good things about OME. I was looking at that vs Bilstein and Toytec. Just happened to go with the 6112's. All the reading was overwhelming. I really wanted Icons but I read some posts of them going out early on people.
I think you'll be happy with anything you choose.

I got the 5100 bilstein/toytec coil overs and toytec rear springs on this past weekend. Picked up just a hair under 3" after a weeks worth of driving getting the suspension to settle. I have a pair of the JBA high caster UCAs waiting to be installed....now if amazon would get off their butt and drop their prices lol.
Actually discount tire direct has them for $185 right now. Might have to pull the pin on them...can't stand these cheesy bridgestone OEM tires

Nice! You're going to love those arms! I installed them yesterday with new front springs and the handling is so much better. I still have to get an alignment so it may be better afterwards.
Have you seen a price you liked and missed it? I check back every now and then out of curiosity but haven't seen it as low as I got them for lately.

The tires are at $217 now. They were down to $169 a few weeks ago....wish I would've jumped on them then.
I've got an app on my phone for Amazon that alerts when a price reaches my determined point . No joy so far
I'll most likely call discount tire tomm and see if they will come off their price a bit...can't hurt to try, lol.
When my tires get here, I'll put the arms on. Figure it will take me about 45mins per side.
It's been easy to work on so far since nothing is rusted up like my fj was
