Anyone running 305/70r17??

i am getting closer to getting everything together to lift the runner and am looking into running some 305/70r17's, probably wrangler mtr's. I am just curious if anyone is running them with a 3" and probably body lift as well. I will be running the toytec ultimate with the 1" body lift. I will be throwing on a demello bumper shortly after so that should take care of the rub on the front bumper. I am also anticipating having to do the body mount chop and a lot of other trimming. i just want to know if it has been done and how much trimming needed to be done.

I'm not sure it aha has 65's or 70's but kevlar 70's are my next tire! Can't wait! Your setup should be fine but there might be some trimming to do and chopping the mounts!

Edit: aha has 16's. I haven't heard of anyone running 305/70/17's, yet.

a 305/70/17 is only one inch taller than a 305/70/16.

I def. had to chop my body mounts for mine to fully compress at full lock. as well as trim some fenders here an there. I also had to go to adjustable UCA's to gain space between the tire and the upper control arm. but that was a win win cause i got my caster alignment back with the adjustable UCA's.

for reference i have The OME 886's and 896's coils without the proper pre-load so my truck is sitting a little higher than a true 3" lift. as well i've got aftermarket wheels with a 4.25" back spacing and due to the particular design of rim i purchased i had to use a 1/4" spacer plate to get the rim to clear the front outside caliper face. and to really let those wheels travel I went with a Rodger Brown 1.25" body lift.

I'm running 295/70/17 Nitto Trails and don't have my 1.25" BL installed yet. Minor rubbing in reverse on the inner liner, but I could get rid of that by moving it a bit more forward. Great size on these trucks, but that's my humble opinion of course

I'm running 315/70R17 with 3" of body lift / bilstein 5100 and still needed to do body chop and fender trimming.

Reviving Thread to get updated answers

The KNOWN general requirements to go to 305/70/17 are:
1. 3" lift
2. UCA
3. BMC
4. Aftermarket wheels width increase to 8.5"-10" (*and proper back spacing)
5. Trimming of bumper and liner

The UNKNOWNS are:
1a. Proper back spacing for wheels?
1b. Is there a back spacing on wheels that will make it so that wheel spacers AREN'T needed?
2. Body lift 1" or 1.5"

I've been looking thread after thread for the back space sizing to no avail. This thread best answers the going to 305/70/17. Any help from you 305/70/17 T4Rs?
