Anyone running Michelin LTX AT2's

In 285/70 17 size ?
Did search....didn't see anyone running this particular size/brand.....
WindomEarles posted a question,but only got stock size pic/response.......
Anyone else chime in please with pics, if have this combo.....caster change? Camber change,wheel well mod? No need for any of this since tire lugs aren't that aggressive ??
Any pics/help would be greatly appreciated.....rotated my tires....and my kumho sat kl 61's or "steering spring" tension are hating me with shimmy...

What actually do you want? You have been here enough to know A) Not a lot of guys here run the Michelins (even though they are a great all season tire) and B) Not a lot run 285's of any type on an unlifted vehicle. The chances of finding both together are slim.

In addition, the chances of finding the 285 Michelin tires on an unlifted vehicle AND having the same caster as you are really slim. Caster and Camber are adjustable for a reason. Even though the vehicles look identical they are not exactly, hence the adjustment.

Take a look at the 285 pics on unlifted 4Runners and read everything those guys had to do to keep from rubbing. I can pretty much advise you will have to have a realignment and move the Caster and [MENTION=8206]harper7[/MENTION] fender liner mod. You might be the one in a million guy to not have to do anything but be prepared as neither of these is a big deal.

I run these tires in the stock size and I love them. I thought my lift would come much later, will go with 285s the next time though.

I'm not sure why people don't run them more, sure they're not as aggressive but I had no problems at the FJ Summit and actually had less slipping than many others. Add to that the highway, wet and snowy road performance and they are really unbeatable IMHO. That being said they don't look quite as rugged as MT tires though.

I'm currently running the Michelin LTX AT2's on my DD and they are ok. I enjoy time spent reading [MENTION=66316]1engineer[/MENTION]s comments. He certainly is one who has strong opinions and fair writing skills.

Hmmm, I went back and re-read my four month old post you finally responded to and honestly did not see anything overtly sarcastic about it.
Actually I thought I answered your question quite thoroughly.

Now to address your comments:
I would not loan you an ink pen, let alone something you would just hurt yourself with like a tool.

My (grown) children are fine thank you. My daughter will graduate college this year with her Bachelor's in Nursing. My son was Freshman Engineer of the year with a 4.0 GPA WHILE playing college soccer. He is working on his BSME. Not bad don't you think?

I'm sorry I forgot you as [MENTION=80937]AnthonyMV[/MENTION] had me preoccupied lol. I have run these tires a few times on other vehicles and loved them for on road and snow. The only issue I have with them is they do not clear mud well from the tread. My current driving does involve going into the dirt, and around here dirt=mud quite often. Off road in dry conditions they perform well too!

I'm not your pal, you are correct but just a few days ago you PM'd me several times for info regarding the front air dam removal.

I took my time to answer you- all 3 times- despite that they were questions you could have answered with a little more searching. Guess I should have taken your advice and tried "something imaginative, like ignoring it".
