Anyone running Slee sliders?

I think I have narrowed down my slider search to two options: Slee and Opor. (I abhor diamond plate, so that rules out many other sliders.) However, I can't seem to find any pictures, other than the ones on Christo's site, of the Slees on a rig. If you are running Slees, will you please post a pix and let me know what you think of the product? I am putting them on a 2012 SR5.

Canazes9 - those are the only pictures I have been able to find. I used T4R.org "search" and looked at threads for over an hour and was unable to find anyone that is running these. Looking for input from someone that has/had them. Mind you, I may have not used the correct search terms or possibly just did not dig deep enough, but I swear I could not find any posts where someone on this forum was actually running these sliders. I would love to have some input before I drop a grand on these.

You can be the first to run Slee sliders, or you can do the OPOR sliders and have enough extra for something else.
 
I don't think they look bad. I do think they look like a weak design. They may be better than a typical running board due to their mount location and the hardware is a little more solid. They don't look like they will withstand jacking or provide significant protection.

I've seen a couple TE's running around town with the Slee sliders. I'm not really a fan, and didn't even consider the lift points!
 
I just paid $488 for my OPOR sliders (20% discount through August), which included powder coating and rear & partial front dimple die. That is quite a price range of the 2 items you are considering.
 
Decision...

I think I have decided on the OPOR. My original thought on the Slee Sliders were that they don't turn up and would make it a bit easier for shorter folks to use to get in my truck; however, taking into consideration that I am not going to remove the bottom panel from my SR5, the OPORs will sit a bit below what I am guessing they would on the TE, therefore giving my shorter friends the benefit of being lower anyway.

The pricing of the Slees comes into play here too. I can put $500 toward something else I am sure I will want to do to the T4R in the future.

I searched a bit more last night after I posted and found a thread on MUD where Christo Slee addressed being able to lift using his sliders. He says that one could use his sliders as a lifting point but cautions against it (actually he cautions against it for all sliders... - I am not saying he is right or wrong, just paraphrasing what he said in the post) due to the chance of slipping and the HiLift handle taking out a window. - Again, I am just paraphrasing what he said.....

I can't thank you guys enough for being kind and helping me. I am sure I will have thousands of questions over time and so far you have been great in guiding me along with my new ride. ( My LC 80 is feeling VERY neglected these days :decision: )
 
But your question is still hanging out there. Is there anyone on this forum who has them & is happy w/ them?

I recently bought a '16 TRDP and am still considering the Slee sliders, despite their price. They just seem sleeker than normal sliders. The idea that they are super rare actually adds something, so long as there are no substantive negatives.....
 
Regarding the price, it's important to consider the differences between Slee's sliders and your standard tube slider. You'd have to call but it looks like Slee's are either boxed or brake-formed, either way are going to cost a lot more to manufacture than chopping and welding tube. Because of this they're probably incredibly stoning. For a factory look that doubles more as a step I think it's a good option. If you want highest clearance and bump-out protection look elsewhere.

In general Slee's branded products are synonymous with quality, I've worked with him before and his stuff is top notch.
